I used to have these settings in the lighting section of infotainment, but I just noticed they are gone. Does anyone know how to re-enable these adjustments from the settings menu?

hmm......... I'm totally guessing of course - maybe look in central electrics module for the channel Interior light: light configuration-Ambientemenue mit alle Zonen > active
If not this (and assuming that the loss of menu was the result of a manual coding error), look in History for any records related to the words "Menu", or "Menuesteuerung".

Ok, so apparently that config needs to be “inactive” for the controls to show up, so thank you for pointing me there! The bad news is my footwell lights are stuck at 30%. I can move the fader but the value stays the same. The door ambient light faded works flawlessly, it’s just the footwells that are stuck now. I tried translating the other parameters in that channel and nothing logical pops out for me to mess with. Do you have any advice on how to have that fader function like it used to?

mittenscore : I think you meant to write "active", or maybe "installed", rather than "inactive"! Anyway, well done on getting the footwell-slider to show (albeit for a fixed illumination)! So, the other facility that needs to be set-up for the footwell lighting to work properly is the Leuchte-set for the lamps. I'm fairly certain that the Leuchte-set on a Mk2 Tiggy is the same as on a mk7 Golf. Post-up screenshots of Leuchte30FR LC72 on your car-please (it's in the central electrics module). To be clear, I need to see the values for ALL 19 x adaptation channels for this Leuchte-set in your screenshots/ Don

I misspoke but only slightly. The setting had to be changed from “active” to “not active”. Crazy, right? As soon as I write the code to send changes with the setting as active, the faders and options disappear. Likewise, not active being sent immediately populates the options again.
And as per VW law, the electrical gremlins were not present today on my way home from work and the settings for the footwell lighting was responsive without any further changes to the programming. The illumination values on screen increase and decrease, as do the visible illumination of the lights themselves.
Again, thank you very much for pointing me to that parameter, as backwards as the end result ended up being!
