I'm encountering a few issues with my A3 MY2022 software version 3691, I've adapted the relevant control unit to activate the welcome sound when the ignition is turned on and Audi heartbeat when leaving the vehicle.
My issue is that the welcome sound plays ok everytime but I cannot get the Audi heartbeat to play when exiting. It must be the newer software versions that have the issue as others with older versions work ok.
Any suggestions?

Thanks but I know the adaption but I was asking if anyone has figured out why the heartbeat does not sound on newer software versions

As I know it works with 3454, 3611, 3620 versions.
I do not have any experience with the newer ones.

Thanks for the reply I think my software version is 3691 and the heartbeat doesn't sound but the welcome sound does, a little odd that both don't work

I appreciate the reposting of the helpful video but the heartbeat definitely does NOT work on version 3691.
Any reasons why?

My car is on Software Version 3801 and the Audi Heartbeat works but I have no welcome sound.

I think it's down to the data-sets not being loaded - if anyone who has the welcome sound working, could you go into Module 5f, Advanced Identification, then post what's showing in "Data Set Names" ?

same with me, SW 3801, heartbeat on exit, no welcome sound though. Followed all the instructions and checked them each time, still no joy.

Hello. I managed to activate the welcome sound and the heartbeat leaving sound with these settings on software 3801:
5F - Multimedia
Adaptation
function_configuration_audio > welcome_sound : on
function_configuration_sound > vehicle_readiness_sound : activated
function_configuration_sound > vehicle_leaving_sound : activated

It doesn't work with version 3843. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Leaving Sound works but Welcome Sound displayed in Settings but not work.

Thank you for the datasets names mirceamn - unfortunately I don't see a difference So something else is missing... You can simply do a full or control unit backup, then go into history and send it to your email. Then you don't need todo screenshots |

I did ! I can report that welcome sound is working now, however, heartbeat doesn’t. I activated all the options shown above. Welcome sound volume/off option shows at the MMI menu, not heartbeat one. |

Unfortunately, nothing. Heartbeat is not on MMI submenu nor sound plays at exiting. it seems like heartbeat does not work on MIB2?   |

So something works bcs I do have now the welcome sound which I didn’t have before. Not sure though why heartbeat does not. Maybe it is not even available on MIB2… |

OBD11 has now a App for welcome / leaving (heartbeat) sound. Unfortunately using it results in an "Not supported" error So the App does also just the mentioned configurations here and it depends on your car hardware / software version. I was truly hoping the guys of obd11 would figure out a way to add it to all 8Y versions |
