Hi. I am looking to connect a seperate reversing light in the rear diffuser on my vw golf gte mk7 due to winter time and shitty stock reversing light. I was wondering where it would be best to take signal from. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help

@sigurdth: hmm...... does your cat have only one reverse light? Clearly the best place to take the supply for a new reversing light is the wire from the factory reversing light on the tail-light fitting. This will be the wire on pin #4 on connector. But there are other possibilities like these: - If the fittings are incandescent lamps, you could change the lamp to LED
- You could add the Leuchte-command Nebelschlusslicht wenn kein Anhaenger gesteckt to the Leuchte-sets for the other lamps in the tail-light fittings. This would illuminate the other tail-lights (including the native reverse-light) when reverse gear is selected
If you do decide to add another reverse-light - I suggest that you use a LED lamp to minimize the risk of generating a CAN error

Hi. Thanks for the answer. Ended up with taking signal from the rear reverse lights, and connected that to a relay. Works like a dream
