Hi guys,
I might need some advises and support from experts on removing the brand new B17D7F0 - Adaptation Invalid(static) DTC fault after coding the Interior Light Fading by using the App.

2. What I tried so far:
- B184C00 has been easily removed by locking back the module with SFD lock option - try to clear the DTCs on the module but given that it's a static one it can be deleted and reappeared after refreshing the module.
- revert the module to the factory adaptions by comparing the initial/default backup with the one after with no luck. 
QQ:
1. I saw an option to Reset the module but I was afraid to use it because I don't know what it does: soft reset or hard reset the module? Shall I try it? 2. Shall I worry about this fault and can this affect the warranty?

I don't understand why the search option didn't return any results yesterday evening.
Has anybody else raise a ticket/issue to the Voltas Experts?
It seems to me a major problem since this the basic/default settings for the module got lost and it needs to be uploaded again(accordingly to the resolution from the above threads).

I have also had this error (B17D7F0) in the 09 control unit for half a year. I tried to roll back all the adaptations that I changed-to no avail. I have been to maintenance twice and the service people did not have any questions for me, although they connected diagnostic equipment and read the blocks. So I just don't pay attention to her.

Hi,
More people are complaining about this fault after they start using the OBD11 for coding/adaptions. Even if I've had an opened ticket with the Voltas guy(Edvinas), he didn't give a final resolution/solution. He keep said to revert my changes and the fault will disappear which it's not True at all.
You are saying that after connecting the VAG diagnostic equipment the fault just disappeared?
I'm also not paying attention to this fault since my car is working fine. Even so, I would like to have it solved by the Support or more clever people. Hopefully someone will find what the dongle is doing wrong and fix this annoying fault.

Same here. It does not luckily affect the car functions. Perhaps an annoyance and something to worry when taking it to the dealer.
Someone said that it needs ODIS to fix the issue. I believe this is something OBD11 is unable to fix, but they should not allow such changes to be possible.

I also wrote to the support. the last message was that they try to reproduce the error if they have a comparable car. you should really all report the error to those with VIN. The more people report the bug, the sooner something will happen. so it's best to write to support@obdeleven.com that you have the error in your vehicle. It seems to me that they don't believe that it depends on obdeleven.

Same in my case. The support said that my ticket will be closed until they have same car as mine to reproduce the issue, even if I tried to explain that this fault is generated by OBD11 on every VAG car.
So, if anybody-else encounter this fault just write to the Voltas Support(support@obdeleven.com), please please.

Same here - I've had a short conversation with the obd11 support - the issue is obviously known there. The support will "try to investigate and replicate the issue once they can". Some users were able to delete the fault after someone put the original software with professional tools to the central electrics module. So volks keep calm and wait  |

I havd the same error in my Octavia NX, after I tried to use the App Interior Light Fading, even when I undo this App the error is still there and can not delete anymore.
Also the control Unit 09 isn't cancel the mistake with odis in Skoda workshop.
They said that they have to bring this control unit to factory settings in some kind.
I hope that this get fixed soon.

Can you please raise it with Voltas Support guys? I have the same feeling that the App Interior Light Fading is generated this error/fault.
QQ: So, you are saying that clear DTC with ODIS will not remove this fault? Just restart to factory settings will solved it?

I already asked the Voltas Guys but thay said that they know the issue and working on a solution for it, but at the moment they can't say how long they will need.
Clearing the error with odis brought nothing, even resetting was not allowed from the Control Unit, the workshop says they have to make some kind of main reset but for this they need more time and an Access Code from Skoda.

The support is still writing to undo all coding, so far no solution, because there is supposedly no comparison vehicle!
Maybe you should take action against the company with a lawyer? It is unacceptable for users to have the control unit reset
at their own expense and then still not know whether the error will occur again.
The app should be blocked IMMEDIATELY!

Fully agree this is very poor support by OBD11 BUT
Buy using the app we all agree to the following terms and conditions:

In an emergency, this can be clarified legally as to whether this passing on is correct. Finally, they also offer a separate automatic function for coding the interior light, which causes the error.

Please don't misunderstand me I think the Oca support is very very poor as a minimum there should be a warning or removed all together. However the same issues happen with caristaapp for the same reason the dev team don't have access to multiple vehicles or a team of support guys like VCDS so lots of issues happen.
If you coded the change manually is it the fault of the person who shared the coding or VAG group who,s rules are quite clear on SFD motors
- the SFD service is only allowed to be used as part of the actions required for the repair (purpose limitation);
Personally I would keep nagging support. Posting on the Facebook page both Obd11 and VOLTAS It along with the OBDeleven Pro group that is supported by obd11
And remember VAG don't share so all this coding is best efforts by any coder/developer

One-Click app's Developer do you guys have any idea why this is happeing after the use of the one click app. Not looking for the coding but can you at least confirm you do not do any EEPROM stuff in the background on this app please as that would no show up on a backup compare.

Hallo habe den Fehler auch nachdem ich Skandinavien Tagfahrlicht und Leuchten der dritten Bremsleuchte codiert hatte.
Ist auch nach Rückgängig machen nicht löschbar, auch nicht mit VCDS oder Odis. Der Support meinte Fehler bekannt es wir an einer Lösung gearbeitet. Das erste Mal moniert 12/22

I have reported the error in October 2022... many other earlier. Do not know why they need so long to fix it. every Day someone new get the error.
