Good day when changing your brake pads or brake discs on your Volkswagen or Audi gets tricky when the car has an EPB. In the olden days you would just manually push the brake caliper’s piston back so you can remove the old pads and make room for new pads or discs. Now, however, you can’t do that because the EPB hydraulic unit does not let the caliper retreat, as it keeps the brake fluid pressurized. The proper way to do it now is to use an electronic tool to put the EPB in “service” mode (such that it releases that pressure) and then push the caliper piston in. If you attempt to push the caliper piston in without opening the EPB in service mode, you will likely damage the caliper and/or the parking brake mechanism. is it possible to develop an app to do this? I have a 2019 Golf R and a 2016 Passat B8 BiTdi and an Audi SQ5 all with "Electric Handbrake" so would be interested in this feature. Thank you for consideration I believe caristaappapp has developed an app for this

Hello,
Thank you for the application request. For all your cars the application "Brake pads replacement" already exists in the workshop group.
