Hello,
Straight to question, is there an option to adjust the low beam on my golf 8. I have standard LED lights, but the low beam is really to low. I have been searching for a solution, but no luck.
When starting the car at night, the lights cycle up and down, but stay very low (you can see only few meters). There is no option on the display.
High beam is OK.
I guess i could mechanically lift them, but i reckon its not the right way. Hopefuly there is a better way, thru OBD11.
Thanks in advance.

Leveling headlights by software only is neither possible nor appreciated.
You will need start a setting routine, calibrate the headlights in hardware (using measurement equipment) and then acknowledge these settings.

Thanks for the reply newty. I have access to equipment to mechanically setup the beams, this is no problem. But you mentioned "to accknowlede settings", did you mean is it a procedure in adoptations or something elese. If yes, can you please share, how? Thanks!

Yep: Park car into calibration place in workshop. Start Basic Headlight Setting in Central Electrics. Calibrate Headlights with equipment and hardware tools. When done, Start Acknowledge Basic setting.
This is all well described in VWs Workshop documents, downloadable via erwin.

Lights were a bit lowered. In my case it was a case of turning the screw and lifting the lights. Lights are basic LED.
It makes difference now, a lot better visibility.
