With the engine running, I went to the 093 view to see the phase timing to determine wear. The rpm is responsive, but the engine load and phase timing are 0% and 0 degrees. Can someone tell me what is going on? The other parts of the app appear to be working fine, no issues scanning etc.

hey mmiguy,
Having just done the cam chain on my MK5 I've been in there a bit - same issue, but only with engine load reporting "0%" in all MBs. Phase timing is not zero for me, but never updates at all having said that (I.e. reads the value on frst access of MB093 and then never again). Interesting thing is that the throttle angle sensor also reads zero for me, and never changes. In my case I can see MAP/MAF working fine, which means there is always an engine load, throttle is indeed super responsive too - so I assume this is a simple bug in OBDEleven. Car drives great too (think I have a boost leak, but that's another issue).
I'm putting it down to it being an OBDEleven bug with parsing the data coming back over the CAN bus, or querying incorrect addresses etc. Either way, it's a bit worrying.
Are you using iOS? I am. If this is indeed a bug, I'm sure the OBDEleven folk would like to know which app.
It'd be great if the folks in OBDEleven could advise? If not, it may be time for a bug report.
