i everyone! I have golf 7 allstar 2016 from germany ( I don't know the history of the car i bought it with a single halogen headlight , the other one is crashed ) I tried to make a retrofit from halogen headlights to Xenon headlight. it's my first retrofit Parts : my BCM part number has BCM 5Q0937084 CL Headlight 5G1 941 031 5G1 941 032 (from germany) Wiring is done now for the coding can someone help me ? low beam flickering high beam shutter doesn't work

nitto42: Pictures are good - but as the saying goes "the devil is in the detail"! What exactly do you mean by "the wiring done"? How did you change the factory wiring loom in the car to transfer the factory 10 x pin halogen headlight connector to a 14 x pin HID connector? And please provide a copy of the long-code string for the BCM. Don

hmm.......so, rather than run the extra wires back to the hex09 module (I'm not sure if your module has Xenon pins) - you made your own cross wiring harness. That decision means that this is a non-OEM installation (using a cross wiring harness makes the physical installation easier -but it results in more complications at the coding end of the project). OK, let's start with the long-code string on your hex09 module which I've reformatted for easier read below:
Byte HEX [----------------------BITS----------> 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0 00 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 01 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 02 09 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 03 46 0 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 04 C2 1 1 0 0 0 0 1 0 05 41 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 1 06 02 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 07 FB 1 1 1 1 1 0 1 1 08 4B 0 1 0 0 1 0 1 1 09 E4 1 1 1 0 0 1 0 0 10 40 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 11 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 12 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 13 1C 0 0 0 1 1 1 0 0 14 07 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 1 15 08 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 16 10 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 17 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 18 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 19 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 20 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 21 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 22 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 23 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 24 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 25 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 26 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 27 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 28 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 29 00 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
There are 2 x Bytes that tell the hex09 module what type of headlight fittings are installed on the car; Byte 2 and Byte 6. Currently on your module, both these Bytes indicate that the factory halogen fittings are still installed.
So, I suggest that you make the following changes: - Byte 02, Bit 0 =0 & Bit 1=1. After the change Byte 02 = (hex) 0A
- Byte 06, Bit 5 =1. After the change, Byte 06 = (hex) 22
The next set of changes that you need to make are on the Leuchte-sets in the hex09 module adaptation channel database. This is where your decision to use a cross wiring harness (instead of wiring directly to the module) increases coding complexity!
I could guess how the Leuchte-sets in your hex09 module are currently coded, but I prefer to use actual data!!
Please make a backup of the hex09 module and post-up the file (and please don't make any edits to the OBD11 file - don't change anything, just attach the raw file to a new post)!
If you are not aware how to make a module backup - read HERE

hmm....... as I said, this is a non-OEM installation, so I'm guessing - but!!!
For the "low-beam flickering" problem - try this:
Leuchte6ABL LC5 and Leuchte7ABL RB1 - Lasttyp > 3 - Xenon Abblendlicht
- Dimmwert AB >127
For the "high beam shutter doesn't work" issue - I'm less certain that there is a fix because the actual pins for Xenon shutters on the hex09 module are on Socket B: - pin #23 (left-side), and
- pin #22 (right-side)
However, your self-made harness doesn't use these pins, so I'm forced to crow-bar non-OEM programming onto Leuchte-sets that were not designed to operate Xenon shutters. Anyway, it's any easy try - so, give this a shot:
Leuchte8FL LB39 and Leuchte9FL RB2 - Lasttyp > 2 - Shutter; Diagnosesensierung für 'LED low'
- Dimmwert AB >127
Once again for emphasis - this is non-OEM installation, so no guarantees

Hello i have a different situation i have Xenon headlights with led DRL-s but i bought aftermarket mk7.5 led headlights but they are for Golf 7 with Halogen lights so i will need to rewire my connectors I understand i need to pull 2 wires to the BCM one for each Headlight for the High beams Do you guys have any data how to wire the connectors and how to code this?

ghost11 : Hi Hmm.......I suspect your expectations of me are greatly exaggerated. There are a couple of important unknowns in this project.
First, you say that you "have Xenon headlights with led DRL-s" - but there multiple ways that VW built cars with this equipment and each of these methods means different modules are installed and different wiring and coding on the BCM. Then you say "i bought aftermarket mk7.5 led headlights but they are for Golf 7 with Halogen lights". However, VW never built (or sold) this type of headlight fitting for any MQB platform version Golf. By definition, your LED Headlight fittings are not OEM - this means that it's anyone's guess how the LED headlights are designed. EVERY manufacturer of aftermarket headlights claim that their products are plug-and-play, but very few are - they are ALL made differently!!
So, with the caveat that the headlights on this could be controlled by either the BCM, or the Range control module (if fitted), or a combination of both modules (I don't know which), here is a table that compares the pin-out of VW standard 10 x pin and 14 x pin headlight connectors:
As you can see - there are more wires in the loom that joins the BCM-connector and the headlight-connector in cars where Xenon lamps are factory installed.
So, if you plan to use a cross -wiring harness, then sheer logic suggests that it maybe easier to simply swap the existing wires and reprogram the Leuchte-sets in the BCM for another purpose than physically pulling new wires (maybe?).
But again, my suggestion is wild speculation because so much of the project is unknown - to me!
