A body shop replaced the left front headlamp assembly, with module, on this 2019 Golf SportWagen with VIN 3VWH17AU3KM524119. They're asking me to code/program the new part, but all the VW's I've done previously were pretty straight forward and simple. This one doesn't show any coding on the Right Side LED assembly, so I don't have anything to copy for the left? Both left, D6, and right, D7, show Long Coding of just all "0"s? I'm not sure if these require some sort of security log-in etc.
The only code that's set is B2005 for Data Record Invalid. But there's no indication that this code even requires anything further? Usually, I'll see a bunch of codes for No Coding or No Basic Setting etc. But this doesn't have any of those.
Any idea?
Thanks:)

5point1 : When you say "A body shop replaced the left front headlamp assembly" - what exactly does this mean? Was the replacement module brand new, or was it second hand from a donor car? If the former, was the new module parameterized (it's far easier to use 2nd-hand modules from a local wrecker yard because these modules are already parameterized)? Inserting parameters on these modules is NOT possible with OBD11 - in fact, OBD11 can't access any code-able function in these LED Modules! What are the error messages on the scan report after this retrofit? Also-just to make sure that the correct module was installed - OBD11 should identify the following: - Control unit: D6 LED Module Left - System description: LED1L
- Control unit: D7 LED Module Right - System description: LED1R

Thanks for the reply dv52. It was an insurance job, so they installed a new headlamp and control unit, OEM, from the dealership. I have other tools that I have done coding with before, but it was all pretty automatic and straight forward. I have an Xtool A8 Pro and the full suite of AutoEnginuity enhanced software. Two weeks ago, I did a headlamp assembly on a 2016 CC/Passat using the Xtool, and it was super easy and quick. Took like 45 seconds and it was done. But this 2019 Golf is showing completely different than that one. The information on either side is just blank? I'm not an expert on VW by any means, but what I remember doing before was reading the coding, copying, and applying it to the new/replacement module. For example, if a left side headlamp was replaced, you'd simply look at the coding information for the right side and copy it for coding into the left side. But, this doesn't seem possible on this 2019?
When I connect to the right side headlamp, and look up coding, I get this:
System: D7 - Light Control Right 2 Control Module Part Number: 7P5941572A Component and/or Version: LED1R H06 0002 ASAM/ODX Dataset: EV_LEDMinMaxR_KEBODAVW481 ASAM/ODX Dataset Version: 001003 Long Coding: 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 FAZIT ID: A5G-001 Date: 14.08.19 Workshop System Name: A27
Also, if I go to enter new coding, it's asking for some sort of security digits or password? Never had that before at all.
Hopefully this all makes sense!? lol

hmm..... as I said, the LCMs @ address hexD6/D7 don't have code-able settings that OBD11 can access.
I'm really not sure what you are attempting to do. What particular error message are you trying to fix? Maybe post-up a copy of a scan so we can see what the car's self diagnostic system reports?
