Are you referring to keyfob unlock on approach or the touch sensitive door handle button for locking and unlocking?

Buy a door handle and a new control unit, make and code the wiring harness yourself. Should work like this (no guarantee)

Refitting a third and fourth handle for the rear doors works that way.
But for actual keyless access for the front doors, you will need the 4 RSAD outdoor antennas and probably a new dataset for the keyless ocu

Have you found anyway to get walk away lock? I saw a thread for the mk7 but the setting was under adaptations for some module. When I went to that module adaptations didn't exist

No. I assume that this is dataset related and/or will not work with safelock.
The Golf 7 approach was quite dumb, as all it did was to lock the car as soon as all doors have been closed...

So if you turned off the car, opened the door, closed it, it would lock?
That's fine. Worst case you have to unlock it.
Since the mk8 golf has keyfob detection and unlock why can't it just lock on these conditions
1. Car off 2. All doors closed 3. Doesn't detect keyfob

Yes. But as said, locking and safeing the car is still dangerous, as somebody inside the car cannot open the doors. It makes no sense to discuss "works for me"-POVs here.
We can only work with what we get from VW. I see no working approach for this. You are free to make you own research.
