I found that some programming can be done with it closed, but most require it to be open (at least on my 21 Tiguan). Give it a shot, it only takes a few minutes....

Dumb question, but does your drivers seat have the memory function? It's a requirement for "Easy Entry" to work.... Bob.

Yes, I have a 2019 SEL Premium, drive seat has 3 memory setting buttons
Do you have Easy Entry working on your Atlas?
I even tried creating a new, separate, profile in the MIB. It didnt work there either so I suspect something is not set correctly or conflicting in the coding.

I have a 2021 Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line. It has 3 settings buttons and a SET button. I believe that starting in 2020 they did away with driver profiles (no longer have 2 different keys). The only "driver profile" for us is the drivers seat.
Now that I think about it, the EASY ENTRY was the first thing I did with my OBD11, and I did NOT have the hood open.
My coding was IDENTICAL to yours.
Easy Entry
(Seats move back to the furthest position when you open the door after turning off ignition. They will move back to memory after you turn on ignition. Driver Profile must be enabled.) Control Unit 36 Long Coding Easy_Entry_Front: Not Active -> Active
Easy_Entry_Front_Over_MMI -> Active*
*Last option displays the function in the MIB under Car Settings.
Did you check to see in your Car Settings that Easy Entry is enabled?
Bob.

Actually, I just checked and I only did the top line. (Easy_Entry_Front: Not Active -> Active). I DID NOT do the second line.

Awesome I was actually going to try to enable "Easy Entry_Front_Over_MMI" and "Easy_Entry_Passenger_Over_MMI" to see if it made my passenger seat move....lol. Idea DITCHED. Glad you got it working.... Bob. EDIT: feel free to donate to old_retired_bobs_mad_money_fund@just_kidding (dot) com via Paypal.
