I know it can be done but I dont know what value is equal to what variant. Mostly curious about what the golf R values are. So if a golf R owner could share a screenshot of these settings that would be helpful. I want to see if mirroring the settings will have an effect. Control Module 5F (multimedia) > Long Coding  |

The Golf R shows just a standard Golf variant on the display, not sure why VW did this when the GTI shows a proper variant. Unless they buried it somewhere I doubt this is possible

That’s actually really strange. I looked up a video on it because to me that’s so bizarre and no way that can be true. But it is haha. Oh well

Yeah it's very weird. I know the GTI is probably going to sell more than the R, but considering it's a car over 40 grand you think they would have put some effort in!! Oh well  |

I agree 100%. But if there are any R owners that don’t want a generic golf showing up, they can now try the above settings. Haha
