Hello. I've recently purchased OBD11 Pro for use on my US 2007 Passat 2.0t Wagon, with 6 spd auto transmission. When purchased, the buttons on the steering wheel didn't work and the horn didn't work. Tried to track down fuses, relays, other minor electrical stuff. OBD11 indicated that there was no communication with the steering column control module. The car had the 4-spoke steering wheel, but I found a 3-spoke steering wheel and it's associated steering column module from a 2006 Passat donor car, airbags intact. I swapped the wheels and control modules and now the buttons and horn work. However, the steering wheel warning light, the airbag light, and the traction control light came on. Using OBD11, I was able to clear the airbag light, but I'm getting the Steering angle sensor fault 00778 and Steering limit stop fault 02546.
I searched these forums and found this great thread on calibrating the steering angle sensor and performing the steering limit stop procedure. However, neither worked. When I try to perform the G85 steering angle sensor procedure as described in the linked thread (and several other places), when I try to go to Basic Settings as in Step #5, no "channels" or options load. Is there some setting within OBD11 I need to toggle to make that work? Is it a matter of clearing cache or app data? Is there some other reason why those basic settings are unavailable to me?
Thanks!

Disclaimer: This worked for me. I make no guarantee that this will work in any other case, but I'm sharing just in case. Proceed at your own risk.
As I thought about how to proceed, I noticed a couple of things in my history log:
I went into the Steering Column module, Coding to look at what it said. It was coded as 0002211, which was obviously the donor car as it was a sedan (xxxxxx1). I recoded it to 0002212 because mine is a wagon with rear wiper. I still didn't have the Basic Settings under 44 - Steering Assistance, so I started reviewing the other modules with faults related to the steering angle sensor.
While connected, I showed 2 separate modules (IIRC) that are specifically labeled "Steering Angle Sensor" but those didn't say anything other than that the Steering Angle Sensor is part of other modules. The next module I looked at was 03 - Brakes. It showed the Steering Angle Sensor fault so, just for fun, I went to Basic Settings under Brakes, and it showed the Adjustment of Steering Angle Sensor (g85) setting. I followed the instructions as posted at the thread linked above and that cleared the traction control warning light. After doing that, I performed the procedure for the Steering limit stop no or incorrect basic setting/adaptation and that cleared the Steering Assistance warning light. All is good now.

As I thought about how to proceed, I noticed a couple of things in my history log:
- There was a fault in 16 - Steering Column, 01044 - Control module incorrectly coded.
- There were several other faults across a couple of other modules, but all referenced the steering angle sensor.
