Hubi does OBD11 Report an Error as it works on my car with no issues or errors What is the VCDS Error Code. What model and location (country) for your car please. Lastly did you make the change in VCDS or OBD11 Hello, I know this is an OBEeleven-Board, but the Codes are unsable with VCDS too. - Golf MK7 german model - I had use the Codes with VCDS ErrorCode: "Wertebereich ungültig" / "Value range invalid" Hubi as Don has kindly pointed out this change only works if the MFD is the color dot-matrix type so first question is do you have that. Secondly from OBD11 perspective when I go into (on the seat its called Display Image) I am presented with options to select so not sure (as I dont know VCDS) if its the item to change that is issue or the value itself. sites.google.com/a/naturalnetworks.ca/vw-golf-mk7-vcds-how-to/instruments/change-instruments-to-carbon-fiber-look may have better instructions for what to do via VCDS. Don as the expert here can you please advise. Ron

Does anyone know how the voicebutton (Multifunctional steering wheel) can to be reconfigured as mute-button ? Hubi: Hi. Which version of MIB do you have? If MIB11, do you have Siri when you press the VC button? And if so, does short press on the button give you mute (long press = Siri)? Don

Hi Don, sorry for the minimal info. I've got the MIB II and if I press the VC-Button, there ist an note to buy the package "Voice-Control" and no MUTE-Function

autoinstruct: try this: - Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics)
- Select security access and enter the magic number 31347
- Select adaptation
- Search for ZV Komfort
- Select Freigabenachlauf FH bei Tueroeffnen abbrechen
- Set value to not active.
But are you sure that this tweak works on a mk7?
Don
Found the option under 'Access 2' I think instead of ZV Komfort. Seems to work! Did you get this adaptation to work? Are we supposed to set it from active to not active like Don said? Or not active to active? I've tried both and so far it hasn't worked

Then fire-up OBD11 App and make sure that you enter the magic number 20103 as the security code before trying any changes in the A5 module Don

hello, excuse someone could activate the coming home & leaving home without having light sensor or rain? felix: Hi. Alas, you must have a Light sensor installed for Leaving Home (because LH will only work in night-time conditions) - but you should be able to get Coming Home to work if you follow my instructions below: - Select Central electrics
- Select security access
- Enter the magic number 31347
- Select adaptations
- Search for comfort illumination if you have an early model mk7, or search for Außenlicht for a late model mk7
- Set-up the channels in the boxed part of the screen shot below
After you have finished, make sure that CH is enabled in the MENU and flash the high-beam light before you pull out the key. When you open the driver's door, the CH lights should illuminate. CH lights will stay illuminated for the period of time that you set- after the last door on the car is closed (including the hatch) Don

Hi Don Thanks Do I apply all settings or just the ones from DRL table Paul: you can pick and choose which ever bank of changes you want. So pick either "headlights" and/or "DRLs" and/or "Parking light" bank of changes. It's entirely your choice! Don

Hello, newbie here
I want to find out if there is coding to unfold mirrors when unlocking car with key fob on golf mk7 GTI 2013. The standard setup is mirrors fold when locking but only unfold when turning on ignition. I want them to unfold on unlock before getting in car.
Any help appreciated

tidalsmash: Hmm........I'm desperately trying to understand what happened in the interim period to cause the strange behavior to your fogs. Have you done any subsequent code/adaptation channel changes? If so, what were they? Have you checked your history file for the central electrics module (@ address hex09)? Don

Hi Don,
I was able to pick through my coding and made the following change which cleared up the fog issue. I'm sure this was partial coding from a previous adaption.
Thanks for the reply!
(09) Central Electrics
Daytime Running Lights
Fahrlicht Bei Tag
Old Value - Daytime Running Lights
New Value - Not Active

Hi all, Is there a way to adjust the "Ice" warning? Want to adjust it to like 34 degrees instead of 39 degrees

Hi all, Is there a way to adjust the "Ice" warning? Want to adjust it to like 34 degrees instead of 39 degrees Meme: I have both good and a bad news regarding your question: The good news answer is, yes. If you select the Dashboard module @ address hex17 and then select adaptation and then search for "outside_temperature" , you should see the following channels - p_ice_warning_entry_temperature, which has a default value of 4 °C (i.e.39 °F)
- p_ice_warning_exit_temperature, which has a default value of 6 °C (i.e. 43 °F)
Not sure if you are familiar with the term 'hysteresis" (it's a method of dynamic-lag that is sometimes used in control systems), but this is how these two channels operate. The entry channel value is the threshold temperature at which the black-ice alarm will be set and the exit channel is the threshold temp. at which the alarm will clear (i.e. at the warmer temperature). If only one threshold temperature is used, the alarm would "hunt" (i.e. continuously turn ON/OFF) as the car traveled through different temperature zones. But with hysteresis control, the black-ice alarm remains more constant with changing ambient temperature.
So, if you are going to change the value in one of these channels, I suggest that you also change the other channel value so that there is ALWAYS 2°C difference -this maintains the size of the hysteresis differential.
OK, so now for the bad news answer!
To change the value in the 2 x adaptation channels above, you will need a security access code. This code was 20103 in early versions of the dashboard module, but I'm not aware that the code has been found for newer modules. Happy to be proven wrong
Don

Thank you for the help. I found it and input all the changes but it did not work. It's the code, the code # isn't accepted, and I've tried 4 different ones. Maybe we just don't get access to this one.
