Good afternoon guys, I drive a NA 2016 GTI with the lighting package, and I am looking to make some changes with that little white inner dot, and I cant seem to get everything I want to work at once, just in parts. What I am trying to do is have the dot light on with the daytime running lights, as well as the night time low beams. However I am ALSO trying to have the light blink opposite the turn signal. I currently have it so the U shape running light blinks opposite and want the dot to match. I will attach a screen show of what I curranty have in adaptions for the light (the right side is the exact same) Anyone have any experience with this? Any tips? If I need to provide anything else, just ask. Thanks in advance guys!

Hello!
Lets see…. Lets try the following:
- a —> tagfahrlight - c —> blinken helphase - dimmwert cd —> 0 - dimmwert direction cd —> minimize
It’s very important to keep in mind that the leuchtte settings are sensitive for prioritizing.

Hey valkThanks for the reply! I just went back out to give it a try, and we are definitely getting closer, however the dot still isnt present, nor blinking with the low beams on. Ill attach another screenshot of what I currently have it at. Any further ideas?

Hey valkThat did it! Thank you so much! I am afraid to ask how you know that stuff so well, but I definitely envy you. If I could pick your brain again with a slightly different instead of posting a different thread at a later date. I am trying to have my fog lights come on automatically with the low beams, but couldn't get that to work right either, is that a similarly simple change?

Great that it works the way you want it to!
Honestly, I learned it from this forum. Especialy from dv52, who has tought me the prioraty in the leuchte. For the rest it is just trying and trying to understand what the different setting do in the leuchte and how they interact with eatchother.
To aswer you question on your foglights, i need to see the setting in the leuchte 12 & 13. Keep in mind that it could be illegal to drive with 4 lowbeams (foglight alway on). In the Netherlands it is illegal to drive with foglights when it is not foggy.

Hey again valk, Well hopefully I will get there too. (dv52 has also helped be out a bunch lol) So for the fog lights, of course, see below (they are currently set to come on with the DRLs. Thanks for the heads up about law, but as far as I've ever seen, not an issue here in Canada

Try this:
lichtunktion C —> Abblendlicht Dimmwert —> lower than 100, because at night a foglight is not very pleasant for other drivers.
This way of you realy need foglights, its still possible to turn the on (127) with you lightswitch.
I also see a bunch of blinker coding, what were you trying to do?

Hey valkAlright, I will give that a try soon! I love the idea with lowering the brightness when the switch isn't pulled. So if I make that AB value 90 lets say, how does the switch know to brighten it to 127? Is it the AB vs the EF brightness values? The blinker coding is to have the fog lights match the DRL blink you helped me fix with the white dot coding. The U light, dot and fog light blink together opposite the amber turn signal. I know it seems over the top...lol

Currently your AB coding is during the day or with foggy weather, that is ok at 127. The Abblendlicht (during nighttime) lower than 100 (but see for yourself what is acceptable at nighttime.
The car know because the switch is coded to activate ‘foglight’ (i guess) so coded to the word and not a specific lamp.
If you want it to blink; what is yout coding at G? F is not nessecary anymore

Hey valkOk I did the changes, and it worked perfectly! So once again, thank you so much for the assist and your knowledge. I used 100 for now until I can check the brightness more at night, but here where everything is at now. All the blinking is working how I want so unless you see something really off, I will just leave it all as is lol.

Glad it all works the way you want it to! And you’re welcome, glad i could help you.
I understand if you’re done with coding for now. If you realy want to perfect the coding;
- F —> blinken helphase Dimmwert —> 0 Dimmwert direktion —> minimize
- G —> nicht aktiv Dimmwert —> 0
Other than that, nice job 👍
