Hi everyone, I’m having issues with my infotainment system ,sound is crackling, sometimes it turns off and on by itself.Had the car checked by Volkswagen garage due to a recall on infotainment system and I was told i need to change unit as software is not good.Purchased an OBD11 and I have 2 error codes B200087 and B201A00.
Any suggestions on how to fix it, can I buy a different unit and replace the current one?Can the software be fixed?
Appreciate any suggestions.Thank you.

adriang29 : OK - so normally, errors relating to software incompatibility are not able to be addressed by OBD11. However, the presence of the two errors B200087 and B201A00 (together) is encouraging and it maybe that OBD11 can be used in this case - perhaps?

Our (very bright) colleague mr-fix has made a video (see below) of how to deal with your 2 x error codes - which I suggest that you try. In the video, reference is made to an APP that calculates the new value for the setting for the adaptation channel Confirmation of installation change. You can access this App HERE

Thanks a lot for the reply, unfortunately when i go to Confirmation of Installation Change the value shown is 0 so I can’t generate a code.If I purchase a different unit ( assuming the software in mine is not good) is that hard to be decoded, can it be done with OBD11?

Yeah none of that is firmware dude, press and hold menu button until it comes up service menu then press update and it will give you the info there

But on that info it’s a mib1 discover pro
So even if you try upgrading firmware and it is hacked you will get cp errors
