DAB

It is something I have also wondered about for my Kamiq.

I can't get a clear answer though.

The best case scenario:
1. Enable DAB in the MIB unit via module 5F (can be done via OBDeleven)
2. Run an antenna cable from the MIB unit to the boot.
3. Install a new antenna amplifier with DAB.
4. Install a DAB aerial - factory location is the rear window, but you could get an aftermarket one.

I can't confirm that is all that is required and its at least a few hundred $AUD in expense.

I can confirm it can be enabled in OBDeleven, but it comes up with "menu not available" when you select DAB as the tuning band. I think the amplifier also contains the tuner.

There are two possible amplifiers and antennas:

I would suggest enquiring with Kufatec, they may know more.

I have managed to enable DAB from what I can see, but I don't have DAB reception locally.

In 5F you need to do the following:
In adaptions 

function_configuration_radio
off > EU_Band_III-N
Note: I'm not sure if this is correct.

Dab mode antenna mode 1
Not activated > Activated

Am fm dab antenna
Not activated > Activated

This PDF which is Audi branded seems to suggest that unlike MIB1 and MIB2, all MIB3 headhunts have DAB capability because the tuners used for DAB are the same as those used for FM. That seems to match up with the 'Am fm dab antenna' setting.

Because this is Audi documentation (I believe) Barolo is MIB3 Entry and my guess is that Amundsen is MIB3 High because MIB3 Basic doesn't have Navigation.

Maybe if a member with DAB could share their Module 5F coding that would be helpful.

I don't have DAB+ reception in my local area, so for now I can't test, but it looks hopeful.
