Hi,

Has anyone tried to get the Traffic sign recognition (TSR) working?. I looked on "YouTube" and there are plenty of examples explaining how to do this on other VAG platforms, but not the latest fitted to the A3. Tried a few of these with no success.

I even went to the extend of using my OBD reader to backup the car's configuration without TSR and then took advantage of Audi's offer of TSR for 1 month at 1 euro. This worked with no issues, so I the backup the configuration again and did a compare between the two. Apart from mileage and date changes there was very little difference between these two captures.

I also compared the long coding's for the control units 17, 5F or 5A with no changes identified.

So, has anyone got this working .

Audi are now offering "Traffic Sign Recognition" via the UK "My Audi" site. I believe that this cannot be activated manually (i.e. coded in) as it relies on a valid licence being present to function.

The only issue here is that it is more expensive to buy in the UK (£10 - £345) as opposed to the rest of Europe (7 - 375 Euro's).

The interesting thing is that I remember seeing this available as an app in 2022, before Audi started to sell as a subscription. The moment Audi started to offer me as a subscription, I thought "I'll just enable it" and then it was not possible, and all manual attempts failed. I might remember wrong (the availability as an app), but it just proves that you can't really rely on those things as they always play according to manufacturer's rules.
