Hi all tried my first scan today and it didn't go as well as I hoped. Bit worried about the state of the cars battery so I ran the scan with the engine running. After a few seconds the engine started to misfire and stalled but would not restart straight away. Once it was running again I tried to drive the car to clear the misfire but a drive train fault showed up and I switched off. After a bit of a panic I went back to the torque app which showed no faults and the car drove perfectly. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Paul.

paulyb: It really does depend on the details of the faults on your scan. Maybe post-up scan showing the faults - as an attachment. Don

Hi, appreciate the reply. I have had some great input from obdeleven and I think I'm going to put this down to experience. It seems that the device is more sensitive than others I have used and once cleared those same faults do not occur. The car is new to me and I am just nervous about buying someone else's problems. But thumbs up to the guys at obdeleven and I am enjoying the experience so far.
