Press and hold menu, then click update
But this comment “ I have US 2018 Golf R” tells me you don’t have a discover pro (not spec’ed in USA) so no nav in dash at same time as media, it will be a std probably, but will be a MIB 2

My 2018 Golf is equipped with a STANDARD MIB2 and Multi-Function Display.
I was confronted with the same challenge; with the only difference; intermittent one time I had 2 satnav screens, the other time I got the message in my Multi-Function Display. From research I learned that if you actually have a destination programmed in your MIB nav. this one appears to have priority. If you connect your phone after driving off, regardlessly of using using navigation on your phone or not, both MIB and MFD will keep working in nav mode. I use my MFD screen for navigation, expecting to present instructions in a small box on the MIB screen. Instead of that i rather like Google maps on my Mib screen.
I'm still curious about how to switch Google maps to my MFD cocpit screen and actual navigation to my mib screen.
Anyone..??

On the latest release of the MIB STD2 PQ/ZR Technisat/Preh toolbox they have added a patch to allow dual navigation, I do not use android auto so haven't tried the patch myself, somebody raised an issue with it,when enabled their phone would not connect to the car, reverting the patch seems to of fixed the phone connection problem. The patch says it works on both carplay and android auto, of course you need to have the correct MIB2 unit to use that toolbox, Yeah Maps on the AID is a no go Hopefully someone will find it useful

Thanks for looking into it but unfortunately I have a MST2_EU_VW_P0867D (Delphi type).
According to the patch info: "⚠️ This toolbox version is only compatible with MIB STD2 PQ/ZR Technisat/Preh units and is NOT COMPATIBLE with MIB2 STD Delphi and MIB2 HIGH Harman units! ⚠️"
Cheers Chris

Thats unfortunate, I don't know much about the delphi unit, I noticed on the mibwiki.one website has sections for Delphi units with some information and tools that seem to be available, I am only providing the links if it is of interest for you to do your own research as obviously this could be risky stuff, I also found on the mibsolution your firmware version think login is guest guest Not sure if of any interest/use, just what I found when reading about Delphi units Cheers

Thanks, I’m familiar with this site and also the MIB toolbox site.
I’ve already successfully patched my Mib with the “Kongo Activator” rendering all possible FEC’s activated valid.
It’s also possible to use the default VW navigation on my AID and Google maps on my MiB screen simultaneously. Only when I need to avoid traffic jams using the (traffic wise) super reliable TomTom app on my iPhone (even when not showing it on the MiB screen), the Mib / AID starts nagging about navigation already being in use on the connected device. But in the end I prefer being bored by this message rather than any traffic jam. Maybe I’ll switch to a mib2 high someday so I can use the big MiB toolbox.
😎
