Hi all, When I start using Google Maps via Apple Carplay the main navigation will stop working in the main screen. I Have seen online that its possible two have maps and "vw navigation" working simultaneously. Is this possible to activate with obdeleven?

I thought you just pop the map on the aid then you go to CarPlay and select maps on mib

There is a way to block it off using toolbox, maybe try that?

No hard coding, with toolbox 4.11 loaded just go into the green screen, customisation-navigation, ignore smartphone (or whatever it says)

It doesn’t work for all, just harman discover pro units with certain firmwares, (that’s why I put the disclaimer in the above post) but it’s all on the toolbox page in GitHub

Guessing if it could be done an a mib std then it would be in the toolbox already, But I thought the std could only have nav on one screen only 🤷♂️

Thanks for the reply, I can show both maps, google maps on the infotainment and the VW map on the digital dash, when you start navigation on gmaps it cuts the display just like it does on your system, its a different developer that has built the standard toolbox, so was wondering how to add extra functions, as there are plenty of similarities between the two toolboxes and the files that they interact with, was wondering if it was as simple as copying the code across, dont want to just try incase something goes wrong....

Yeah, suppose you could just download the .jar and then make a script up on the green menu to install the .jar but I think you need gem4 to run the scripts, but that relies on the coding to ignore smartphone to be in the same files as the harman coding But not sure I’d wanna be doing that on my system in my car

Maybe worth having a word with Ollie to see if the same binaries are in the unit as the high version (harmen) to see if andrews mod will work or if andrew can look and see if he can modify it to work,

Yes it works Went from this To this And yes it did have a route on the CarPlay maps you cant do this with obd11? fyi i haven’t even received mine yet. just trying to figure this out now. also looking for long code for vim.

Yeah no long code for vim as you have to change the binaries, and no obdeleven will not add this feature because again it’s changing the firmware by adjusting the binaries, but you would need obdeleven to put it in developers mode (but I think you can do that via MIB too)

Make sure you have a mib2high (discover pro) and the correct firmware If you have obdeleven enable developer mode in 5F If not Download More Incredible Bash from a reputable source (GitHub) Instal it via SDcard on your system as per instructions (I think it enables developer mode for you and clears SVM) Go to green screen and select MIB (I think) Go into VIM and select 200 (not any faster as it’s known to cause problems above that speed) which is free and doesn’t require credits Then Download mib2high toolbox 4.1 or newer from GitHub and install as via instructions via SDcard Go into green screen -mqbcoing-customisation-navigation and select ignore smartphone
