Beep / alarm when locking and unlocking the car
With this mod you may have to close, open or in both cases with horn beep occurs.
1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347)
2 - Adaptation
3 - Signs response
4 - Sub - Akustische rueckmeldung entriegeln --- On
5 - Sub - Akustische rueckmeldung verriegeln --- On
6 - Sub - Global rueckmeldung --- On Akustische
7 - Sub - Akustische rueckmeldung Signalhorn --- On
8 - Sub - Menuesteuerung Akustische rueckmeldung --- On (On Screen Display)
9 - Sub - Dauer der vom akustischen rueckmeldung einfachhorn --- Normal (No alarm) or Kurz (with alarm)
Another way
1 - Applications
2 - Lock / Unlock confirmation acustic
3 - Select one of the options:
- Off
- Lock
- Unlock
- Lock / Unlock

How has this worked? I have the facelift model and 'Signs Response' is missing. I found Acknowledgment Signals with the same options in the sub menu but still no joy.

Jim I presume you are talking about the lock ack when you close and open the car.
Have you done the coding above and if so and its all correct have you tried going to car settings and do a factory reset, that normaly makes it work.

As ‘signs response’ does not appear on facelift menu, I decided to use 10 free credits to enable this function, but sadly it still doesn’t work, is there anything else I should be doing?

For my Audi A3 it's:
Control Unit 46 -> Coding -> Byte 06 -> Bit 3 (Acknowledge unlocking via FFB with horn) -> Byte 07 -> Bit 3 (Acknowledge locking via FFB with horn)
maybe this works for your car aswell. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Then i heard the noise, on my car i have to say its not quiet at all, in fact its noisy.

Maybe I need to do a full factory reset rather than a lights only.

you can try the full reset but I don't expect it would make any difference simply because my understanding of the code is its on or off, there is no control over noise level

One other strange feature, it chirps everytime when unlocking albeit quietly but only chirps occasionally on locking.

My settings agree with yours but the result is obviously different, 2 quiet chirps on open, sometimes 1 on close but not always.

I will be there so if you can you will be more than welcome, There will be a lot to see if you are into getting a bit more power out of your car and some track drives with pro companies / drivers if you are into that sort of thing.

Steve all I can tell you is that I did the change and nothing happend. I was doing some other coding months later and had to do a factory reset and suddenly it started working.
Factory Reset can be found on your infotainment unit under Car Setttings, bottom of the list (on the pre facelift) and something like factory settings.
I have seen on another forum an explanation along the lines of there being some hidden menu that you cant see (or enable) and doing the factory reset brings that into line with the changes you have made.
I have made many many changes to my car and done factory reset and nothing else changes.
Give it a go, the worst that could happen (and I have not seen anybody saying this has happend) is you would have to recode your changes.
