I have a US 2015 MK7 Golf. Halogen lights, but I upgraded to LED using deAutoLED's. I have a switchback (white/yellow) LED for the fog light.
Ideally what I would like is only the fogligts as DRL. However, I need some way to "power them off/on" to switch between white/yellow.
Anyway to:
1. disable DRL on the headlights 2. Use fog as DRL 3. Use pull switch in reverse? Since fogs are DRL, they would be always on. Can we make it so when I pull the fog light on, it cuts power to enable the swtich?
I hope I am clear.
I maybe asking too much?
Euro headlight switch?

hmmm.....interesting problem!! I've never seen a swichback LED - but if I understand correctly, it changes color whenever the ON/OFF switch is toggled,
If I'm correct - what about this as a way forward: - The front fogs operate as DRLs with the default LED color white. This happens every time the ignition switch is turned- ON and the low-beam lights are NOT switched-ON.
- When you want the front fogs to change color (to yellow) - use the High-beam flash stalk (i.e. momentarily pull the High-beam stalk towards the driver).
- The color change works like this:
- The LED will already be illuminated white from the DRL function
- I can program the LED to turn-off when the high-beam stalk is pulled
- When the high-beam stalk is released, the DRL function is switched ON again and color changes to Yellow
- To change back to white, simply operate high-beam flash again
- The High-beam flash function is unchanged in that it will turn-on high-beam momentarily (as normal)
- If you want the dual LEDs to turn-ON at night (when the low-beam lights are illuminated)- use the front fog-light position on the rotary light switch. To change the LED color, use the high-beam flash function as per DRL conditions.
- If you have turned-ON the dual LEDs at night or day, they will remain turned-on if "permanent" high-beam is selected (i.e. the high-beam stalk is pushed away from the driver)
- Or, I can program the dual LEDs to remain switched ON regardless of ambient light conditions, or the status of the low-beam lamps - in which case the front fog-light position on the rotary light switch does nothing. So I can program this switch position to operate any other light
- I assume that the car was factory built with incandescent DRLs that function both as DRL and Parking Lights (maybe you call these "position lights"). I can remove the DRL function from these lights but leave the other functions on these lamps unchanged
Is this what you want?
My other problem is because I live in the very deep South, I don't get to see too many Yankee cars down here. If you want me to help - post up the Leuchte-set values on your car for Leuchte12NL LB45 and Leuchte4TFL LB4 (screenshots will be OK) To be clear, I need to see ALL 19 x channels for each Leuchte-set

Sorry, I am new to your product and feel like an idiot, but….. how do I find those settings for you? I poked around and couldn’t quite figure out where they were hidden.
Thanks!

hmm........ ain't "my product" - I'm just an ordinary user, like you. Have you used OBD11 to make any coding changes before (I'm not referring to one-click-Apps)? Do you have a PRO account? Because to make the necessary programming changes, you will need to be familiar with the diagnostic device
To get the settings do this
- go to the central electrics module (09)
- go to adaptation
- in the search box, enter "12NL" into search box and select Leuchte12NL LB45
- Take a screenshot of the screen. Note the last item at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down until the bottom item appears at the top of the screen.
- Take another screenshot and repeat until ALL 19 x channels are captured with a screenshot
- go back to the full list of channels in step III above
- in the search box, enter "4TFL" into the search box and select Leuchte4TFL LB4
- Repeat steps IV to VI above
- Exit OBD11 and post screenshots in a new post here

I have the pro account. I have not done any programming with this app before, however I have used other apps in the past and live in a tech world. With your help and I see the nominclature and how it is laid out, it seems straight forward. I feel like an idiot, I didn't think of trying the high beam to kill the fogs / cylce the swtich back. I tested it and it works great. To answer some of your questions: Yes, the car was factory built with incandescent DRLs that function both as DRL and Parking Lights Fog lights as the only DRL lights. If I understand correctly, everything else you said sounds right. Thank you! I'd be happy to post a video if you or anyone else cares to see how the switchbacks work with your programming.

OK try this:
Note: the highlighted channels are those requiring change
Leuchte12NL LB45 - Left Front Fog Lamp Lasttyp 12 > 10 - allgemeine Scheinwerfer Lampendefektbitposition 12 > 38 Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC 12 > 22 Lichtfunktion A 12 > Nebellicht links Lichtfunktion B 12 > Tagfahrlicht Dimmwert AB 12 > 100 Lichtansteuerung HD AB 12 > Always Lichtfunktion C 12 > Lichthupe generell Lichtfunktion D 12 > nicht aktiv Dimmwert CD 12 > 0 Dimming Direction CD 12 > minimize Lichtfunktion E 12 > nicht aktiv Lichtfunktion F 12 > nicht aktiv Dimmwert EF 12 > 0 Dimming Direction EF 12 > maximize Lichtfunktion G 12 > nicht aktiv Lichtfunktion H 12 > nicht aktiv Dimmwert GH 12 > 0 Dimming Direction GH 12 > maximize Leuchte13NL RB5 - Right Front Fog Lamp Lasttyp 13 > 10 - allgemeine Scheinwerfer Lampendefektbitposition 13 > 42 Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC 13 > 23 Lichtfunktion A 13 > Nebellicht rechts Lichtfunktion B 13 > Tagfahrlicht Dimmwert AB 13 > 100 Lichtansteuerung HD AB 13 > Always Lichtfunktion C 13 > Lichthupe generell Lichtfunktion D 13 > nicht aktiv Dimmwert CD 13 > 0 Dimming Direction CD 13 > mimimize Lichtfunktion E 13 > nicht aktiv Lichtfunktion F 13 > nicht aktiv Dimmwert EF 13 > 0 Dimming Direction EF 13 > maximize Lichtfunktion G 13 > nicht aktiv Lichtfunktion H 13 > nicht aktiv Dimmwert GH 13 > 0 Dimming Direction GH 13 > maximize
When OBD11 asks for a security code, use 31347
After making these changes- test to confirm correct operation, which should be as per points 1 -7 in my first reply below
If operation of front fogs is OK - do this to disable factory DRL function on headlight fittings:
Leuchte4TFL LB4-Lichtfunktion A 4 > nicht aktiv Leuchte5 TFL RB32-Lichtfunktion A 5 > nicht aktiv

First, Thank you for your help. Second, sorry for the delay. I got sick then spaced this. Third, it didn't work. I do appreciate your effort though!
