Hi, hopefully not a repeat of historical information. I have searched and cannot find anything. A long story short, VW Alltrack 2016, I changed the clock spring, got error “Driver assist buttons not functioning “… I did not save old coding and chucked the old CS. Continued to investigate and now at this point. CC symbol has an exclamation when trying to activate, TPMS light on. Error codes below, any help would be appreciated..

hmm........ isn't something vital in your back-story missing? Why did you "change the clock spring" and why did you "chuck the old CC" - meaning why isn't the old CC still on the car?
Basically, the missing explanation is - why did you start making modifications ?

One fateful day… horn and steering buttons stopped working, got airbag light and gearbox light. This has happened before to my other golf. VW quoted some ridiculous amount for the part, I get the replacement part… and replaced it.

So no mods, just replacement part.

I'm still confused - if you only changed the clock spring, which fits into the steering wheel module and if you made NO coding changes, I'm surprised that the car reports coding errors.
Electrically at least, the clock spring is just a bunch of wires inside a housing that allows a vehicle's steering wheel to turn while still making an electrical connection between the steering wheel airbag and/or the vehicle's horn and other CAN modules.
Of itself, the clock spring is a dumb device, it doesn't change any coding

Agree, that was my thought, hence I threw the old one away, but speaking to VW, I would need to put the old one back, save the coding because it does register in control module. If I used a CS with the same part number (which is now obsolete and replaced with the updated part number I used) it would not need coding. The new part number needs something in the long coding changed… Very annoying, VW has quoted me a couple of hundred dollars to do this, but only booking is in 5 weeks.

hmm....... OK - I had assumed like-for-like replacement!!
Anyway- the clock spring itself is connected to the module that OBD11 calls "steering assistance" (sometimes it's @ address hex44 and sometimes @ hex76). It's the module that the CS was plugged into and its called J527 in the wiring diagram. Of course, J527 is connected to the car's CAN network and I suspect that J527 is sending "I'm unhappy" CAN messages - which are causing the error-codes in the other modules
how is this module reported in your scan (it's missing from your first post)?
So, I understand why you are focusing on the other modules, but logic suggests (to me) that if further work is needed - J527 is the place to investigate (at least in the first instance). If J527 is happy - I suspect that the coding errors in the other modules might be able to be cleared
I can't imagine why a dumb clock spring should need coding and J527 only has 2 x Bytes of long code - so I doubt it's a question of coding this module.
More likely (and I'm guessing), it may be a problem of initializing the new CS (because of the different new CS). The normal post-installation process for CS initialization is to turn the steering wheel fully from end-to-end a couple of times and then cycle the ignition. This generally resolves the error messages on the dash - except for the air-bag light (if this happens, it's a dealer matter to reset)
I don't have access a CJSB engine mk7 - maybe look in Basic Settings in the Steering Assist module for possible other initialization options (again, total guess). If you find a likely basic setting option - search the net for the procedure steps

Thanks Don, appreciate your input. As for the missing outputs. They report nothing. Per below. Will try again this afternoon and port back. Thank J

Quick update, so I was reading another post you commented on and… I looked and saw I had throttle response set to Audi, changed this and that is working. I then looked and saw I had Direct tyre pressure monitor active, so changed this to indirect and that is working. To close out the CS issue I had originally, I copied the code from 16 Steering on my 2015 GTI and that gave me these errors. Which are now all fixed.
Thanks for you guidance. J
