Hello everyone, I just installed an original swivel towbar on my 2019 scala, and it was already prepared for it.
Now i got some problems coding it, first of all, i cant get the release button to work, it doesnt ligt up, and it doesnt do anything, does anyone know if i must activate it somehow?
Also when i get it to work, what stuff do i need to code, the obdeleven already found the controle box for the towbar and i already tried coding the stuff i could find online, but again, if i cant get the button to work, i cant really check if its coded right

I'm in the same boat, only mine doesn't have the tow bar prep and waiting for the parts. It'd be great if someone could post the results here.
Thanks in advance.

Hello there on OBD, you won't get an answer here. I had the same problem. If the towing control unit is new or not parameterized for the electrical hitch, no coding will help. The unit needs to be parameterized, and OBD cannot do that. If you don't have the correct parameterization file, ODIS won't help either. The only solution is to visit an authorized service or use ODIS with access to VW servers. It can also be resolved in home conditions.
It's not worth coding because the final solution will set all units automatically.
If you're interested, I can advise on a solution. The total cost is approximately 50 USD if you don't have a cable for ODIS.
