I've activated for both lock and unlock and the option under central locking showed up, but when i lock the car all that happens is that the alarm light on the driver side door flashes red few times, but no sound comes out.

Hello,
Try pressing the lock button twice. If it still does not work, your car does not have an OEM security system installed.
I have created another application "Lock/Unlock Sound Settings" with which you can select the type of sound signal - via horn or via sounder.

I've tried clicking twice and i tried the new app still nothing as of yet, is there a way i can confirm for sure that the car doesn't have the security system?

In the UK at least - in our cars we have a small fine print written in the bottom corners of the passenger and driver's side windows - which confirms the car is installed with an alarm.
For instance I have "Saint-Gobain Sekurit" written in the corner of each of my windows, along with a logo. If this is not on yours, its possible you may not have an alarm system installed.

I've just checked on my car now and it has that written on both sides so im assuming mine has the security system installed, but now i don't know why the app isn't working for me.

we tried it on another similar car and it doesn't work there either.
Until we find out whether it is possible to activate it, the program will be removed.
