Hi, The current set up for this app gives only an alternative blinking (opposite phase). It would be nice have other settings to just shift a bit the lightning from the back door signal towards the wing signal. Cheers.

You need to program each tail light separately. Use long coding on Module 9 (credits to Audi-Sport and some other forums):
Dynamic indicators: Control Unit : Central Electrics 09 -> Adaptation
look for: Leuchte 16BLK SLB35BLK SL KC9 (this is the left indicator when looking at the back)
Change Lichtfunktion A16 from Blinken Links Hellphase TO Blinken Links Dunkelphase.
Save.
Put on the indicator to the Left and check to make sure its alternating. For ease of coding, you can have the indicator running while you code, as soon as you save the changes the light pattern will change.
Repeat for Leuchte 17TFL R BLK SRB3TFL R BLK SR KC3 (this is the right indicator) - A17 but change it to Blinken Recht Dunkelphase.
If you get it mixed up by putting the Links Dunkelphase on KC9 or Recht on KC3, when you indicate, it will actually indicate the wrong way. Great prank to play on your mates, not so great to play on other drivers
In case you need german translation what you are doing is selecting what is the dark phase indicator ( dunken = dark ) as opposed to the original setting of light phase ( licht = light ). Links and Recht are Left and Right respectively. Leuchte means lamp.
There are a mulitude of other options in the drop down box which can change how the indicators work, some are pretty self explanatory such as aktiv 100% meaning always on, but im fairly sure if you really wanted you could code tailights, reverse lights etc to come on as an indicator as well.

I tried the long code adaptation mentioned earlier in the thread but I guess the next gen doesn’t have the same menu format to make these changes to the standard alternating set up. Hope someone figures it out soon. 2016 S3

ancientmann: try this:
Leuchte19BLK HRC31-Lichtfunktion A 19 > ONLY IF the setting is Blinken rechts Hellphase, change to Blinken rechts Dunkelphase. Leuchte18BLK HLA60-Lichtfunktion A 18 > ONLY IF the setting is Blinken links Hellphase, change to Blinken links Dunkelphase.

There doesn't appear to be anywhere to adjust these settings on the new OBD Next Gen. "Adaption" does not show up in the Central Electrics 09 menu. The categories aren't listed the same as the previous version. I am also running on iOS so that may be a difference as well.

Not my car but when I look in my garage I have an old 2016 A3 and like my 2014 Leon on IOS you can see that under the Long Coding you have Adaptation.
With regards to the setup the Adaption setup and descriptions are VW's not OBD11 and I know that around 2016 some of the setup's changes but Don ( dv52 (Australia)) should be able to confirm.

Okay so I finally found the setting! Entered as suggested and didn’t really notice any change. From hellphase to Dunkelphase. Not sure if the coding is set in the correct section for my specific vehicle.
Leuchte19BLK HRC31-Lichtfunktion A 19 > ONLY IF the setting is Blinken rechts Hellphase, change to Blinken rechts Dunkelphase. Leuchte18BLK HLA60-Lichtfunktion A 18 > ONLY IF the setting is Blinken links Hellphase, change to Blinken links Dunkelphase.

ancientmann: As @testeronline has said - lots of stuff changed in the Central electrics modules after about mid 2016. But I suspect that your particular problem relates more to your (mis) understanding of how adaptation channels are structured and how they are accessed with OBD11. Here's a copy of one of the channels in my instructions above: Leuchte18BLK HLA60-Lichtfunktion A 18 > ONLY IF the setting is Blinken links Hellphase, change to Blinken links Dunkelphase.
Notice that the adaptation channel name has 2 x parts which are separated by a hyphen ("-"). In relational database speak this is called a Parent/Child name. So in OBD11, After you select Adaptation from the option list (as per @testeronline screen), you first need to search and find the first part of the name; Leuchte18BLK HLA60. To do this, just enter "HLA60" into the search box as shown in the first screenshot below. This should then allow you to select ALL of the the Adaptation channels in the module with the Parent name "Leuchte18BLK HLA60". Then select Lichtfunktion A 18 from the second screen below and complete the tweak. Easy!!

Now just repeat with Leuchte19BLK HRC31 (which is the Leuchte-set for the right-side lamp). Remember to use Blinken rechts Dunkelphase (not Blinken links Dunkelphase). Don

Unfortunately video files are too big to attach. So far I can only get my taillights to do dynamic but would love to get to semi dynamic such as in this video.

ancientmann: I suspect the "semi dynamic" effect is not implemented via coding changes. Rather, it's done with the installation of a timer delay harness -like this:

Has there been a solution to long code semi-dynamic other than the rotating dynamic which have been given earlier in this thread? TIA

I don’t see the list in Adaptions below, my app asks for a channel. Is my app setup wrong? Why don’t I get the list to select? I have an Audi A6 2013 Sline.

azeem : This is an Audi A3/8V forum, you should ask your question on the A6 forum. Anyhow, the reason for your problem is that you appear to want to use a tweak that was intended for vehicles which were built on a MQB platform (like the Audi A3/8V) on a car that was built on a MLB platform (like your Audi A6). Can't be done because your car doesn't use UDS control modules - which means that the adaptation channels in your car are numbers rather than descriptive words (like "Leuchte18BLK....") Ask your question on the appropriate forum Don

For the MQB, has there been a solution for the semi dynamic signal instead of the dynamic ?
