Hi, I've installed the LED headlights because my old ones were halogen, my question is does anyone knows how to leave the DRL on with low beam on? I have the instruction left from the dealer but I have no experience in coding. Unfortunately I can't post the picture.

zeta : Do this for Leuchte4TFL LB4 and Leuchte5 TFL RB32: Look through the 8 x Lichtfunktion channels for the Leuchte command Standlicht vorn (Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht). Change this to Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht)Don

Another new-bee, welcome to the wonderful world of On Board Diagnostics! So, let's be clear about how to apply my suggestion to zeta above - and my apology if you already know this stuff: - First: ain't anything going to happen if you don't have a PRO account.
- Second: my advice to zeta was based on his/her statement that the car was factory fitted with halogen lamps. Cars that leave the production line with non-incandescent headlights are wired different and they are programmed differently.
With these caveats understood, do this: fire-up OBD11 and connect to the dongle. Using my pictorial steps below, navigate to the search box on the last screenshot: - Enter "4TFL" and select Leuchte4TFL LB4 (this is the left-side DRL lamp)
- In the next screen, there will be 19 x channels reported for this Leuchte-set (scroll-down to see all channels) and amongst these there will be 8 x channels that start with the name "Lichtfunktion", followed by "A", "B"............"H"
- Look through the 8 x Lichtfunktion channels for the Leuchte command Standlicht vorn (Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht). Change this to Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht)
- Follow the prompts to execute this change
- When asked for a security code - use 31347
- When completed, look through the 19 x channels and confirm that the change has been correctly made
- Go-back to step 1, above (press < symbol) and enter "RB32" - then select Leuchte5 TFL RB32 (this is the right-side DRL lamp)
- Repeat steps III-VI, above
- Exit OBD11 and cycle ignition. Switch-ON low-beam lights and confirm the altered DRL behavior

eyeshield21 : Well done, you are now "blooded" in the mystic arts of OBD coding changes - use your new-found super-powers carefully (they can be used for good -but they can destroy too)!!
As for your corollary question - you will to add a few more words so I understand.
As I explained above, there are 19 x channels in each Leuchte-set. These channels are broadly grouped so that each Leuchte-set can be programmed to operate up to 8 x different lighting functions.
I'm not sure how many lighting functions are programmed into your car from the factory (it varies depending on the car, model, headlight type and the road rules in the country of sale). So you need to be more specific - please.
"Brightness" for which lighting function?

Hi Don,
This morning I noticed that DRL aren’t working when the head lamp switch is in AUTO or OFF position(works only with park light or headlamp ON) i would like to have the DRL working on all headlamp switch position and will dimmed when headlamp is on. Tried working on it early this morning so there is ambient light but only managed to make it worse. But thankfully able to return it to normal setting now with the help of google translate. By the way i have a golf r mk7 2016 with 4 LED DRL AND Xenon headlamps

......... By the way i have a golf r mk7 2016 with 4 LED DRL AND Xenon headlamps" hmm........ 4 LED DRL ?
Not sure what part of my initial advice was confusing: ....................................................
Notice the "Second" dot point (highlighted above for additional emphasis). See the bit where I stress that the tweak is intended for halogen lamps (my advice was further reinforced by my reference to "non-incandescent headlights" are "programmed differently"!!! The revelation that your MY16 car has "LED DRLs" means that your factory fitted headlights are "non-incandescent"!! As I said in my first response - stuff is different for these non-incandescent fittings!! It's a more complex situation for non-incandescent DRLs because these lamps use extra, separate circuits inside the central electrics module that set-up a special power supply for each of the LEDs. These power circuits must also be programmed to match the signal settings in the 2 x Leuchte-sets that you have already changed via my previous advice. At present and because of the non-incandescent lamps, you have made changes to the "signal" leuchte-sets - but these changes are now incompatible with settings on the "power supply" Leuchte-sets. So the job is only half completed.
I suspect that this situation may have also caused errors - look in your scan report. So- I'm flying blind here because I don't know how this car has been factory programmed (I don't even know the country of sale) - but you need to align the values in ALL the LED leutche-sets for these DRLs
maybe try this: - For Leuchte2SL VLB10 and Leuchte3SL VRB21 - look through the 8 x Lichtfunktion channels for the Leuchte command Standlicht vorn (Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht). Change this to Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht)
If you can't find the leuchte-command above - provide screenshots of one of the leuchte-sets above in a post. To be clear - I need to see ALL 19 x channels and their values Don

I did returned it to factory setting by checking the history vehicle is a GCC Spec, what i mean of 4 U shape LED

hmm......... I don't understand!!! I see Standlicht vorn (Positionslicht,Begrenzungslicht) on Lichtfunktion C in both the Leuchte-sets above and I understand from your earlier reply that the same Leuchte-command was on Leuchte4TFL LB4 and Leuchte5 TFL RB32. Have you tried changing this leuchte-command to Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) on ALL 4 x Leuchte-sets?

By changing all other 7 Lichtfunktion B~H to Standlicht allgemein(Schlusslicht, Positionslicht,Begrenzungslicht) and leaving Lichtfunktion A 2 to Tagfahrlicht , i enable the DRL to work to my liking. Now DRL works on any headlamp switch position and will dim on park light/auto headlamp and in manual headlamp. Huge thanks to Don for your patience😅 Leuchte2SL VLB10 ID: 0552 Lasttyp 2 4 - LED Tagfahrlichtmodul Signal Lampendefektbitposition2 48 Fehlerort mittleres Bvte DTC-DECC 2 4A Lichtfunktion A 2 Tagfahrlicht Lichtfunktion B 2 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht, Positionslicht, Begrenzungslicht) Dimmwert AB 2 100 Lichtansteuerung HD AB 2 Always Lichtfunktion C 2 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht, Positionslicht, Begrenzungslicht) Lichtfunktion D 2 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht, Positionslicht, Begrenzungslicht) Dimmwert CD 2 26 Dimming Direction CD 2 Maximize Lichtfunktion E 2 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht, Positionslicht, Begrenzungslicht) Lichtfunktion F 2 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht, Positionslicht, Begrenzungslicht) Dimmwert EF 2 0 Dimming Direction EF 2 Maximize Lichtfunktion G 2 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht, Positionslicht, Begrenzungslicht) Lichtfunktion H 2 Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht, Positionslicht, Begrenzungslicht) Dimmwert GH 2 25 Dimming Direction GH 2 Minimize

WRONG!!! That's not what I said. There are very few cases where the same Leuchte commands should ever be used twice in the one Leuchte-set - having 7 x instances of the same command is just not correct!!
Anyhow, if you are happy and no errors have resulted from your very innovative programing, then it's OK, I guess!!
Don
PS: perhaps the confusion is in my use of the term "Leuchte-set"; something like Leuchte4TFL LB4 is a Leuchte-set. Leuchte5 TFL RB32 is another Leuchte-set. You can think of a Leuchte-set as being the parent to 19 x adaptation channels (i.e. children). Your car has 35 x Leuchte-sets and each one controls a single lamp (generally). Not all Leuchte-sets are activated (depends on the car and the build options).
My instructions were meant to be like this:
For each of the 4 x Leuchte-sets below:
- Leuchte4TFL LB4
- Leuchte5 TFL RB32
- Leuchte2SL VLB10
- Leuchte3SL VRB21
look through the 8 x Lichtfunktion channels for the Leuchte command Standlicht vorn (Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht). Change this to Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) There should be ONE instance of change in each Leuchte-set!
