Hello guys, there isn't km or time until next service on dashboard and head unit. I know on Car->Service there should be service interval, but on my car there isn't any. Is this something fixable by long coding/adaptation? Car details: Golf 7, 2.0 tdi, 2016., Europe Thanks in advance, and sorry if there is already solution on forum, I couldn't find it.

Does your car use flexible service period - you can check if the PR number QG1 is on your luggage label

There is no luggage label in my car, but I have the one in maintenance book, is it the same? There isn't QG1 on it...

Yes the maintenance book PR numbers are the same (depends on country of sale - I think). So, the lack of the QG1 means that your car has the normal "FIX" Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) method - which is the earlier of a set time period, or a set distance traveled.
I'm not sure why the remaining time/km values are not appearing like this:
The numbers in my picture above come from a set of adaptation channels that are in the hex 17 module - the dashboard module in OBD11 speak. These are the channels and the factory values from an early Golf mk7 (RoW model)::
- FIX: Distance covered since last mileage-dependent inspection > 200 km
- FIX: Maximum time until next time-dependent inspection > 365 d
- FIX: Reset value for next mileage-dependent inspection > 30000 km
- FIX: Reset value for next mileage-dependent inspections > 720 d
- FIX: Time since last time-dependent inspection > 20 d
- Fix:Max. distance until next mileage-related inspection > 15000 km
I'm totally guessing - but maybe the values don't appear because the algoritm that calculates the values in my picture above are giving infeasible values?
Again, this is just a hunch - but for the calculations to be correctly configured, the values in my list above need to be like this: - Channel #2 must be less than Channel #4
- Channel #6 must be less than Channel #3
I suggest that you examine these channels - maybe this is the reason - perhaps?

You are right, here's the current settings:
1. FIX: Distance covered since last mileage-dependent inspection = 9600 km 2. FIX: Maximum time until next time-dependent inspection = 365 d 3. FIX: Reset value for next mileage-dependent inspection = 30000 km 4. FIX: Reset value for next mileage-dependent inspections = 365 d 5. FIX: Time since last time-dependent inspection 142 d 6. Fix:Max. distance until next mileage-related inspection = 30000 km
So, Channel 2 and Channel 4 are the same. I will set channel 4 to 720 d. Channel 6 and Channel 3 are the same. I will set Channel 6 to 15000 km.
Thanks for help, I will try this tomorrow and let you know if it works.

@gtolfer050: hmm..... I don't think that making those changes will fix your problem - but it's worth a try!!
The other channel that's worth checking is ESI: Resetting ESI > no warning

You are right, it didn't help
WIV: Resetting ESI is set to no warning. I didn't understand you, should I set it to Warning active?
Edit: I tried to set it to "Warning active" but it didn't help.

I'm running out of options - post-up a picture of the screen, one screen back from the attachment in your first post

OK- the MIB screens on this car don't look like they are from the factory installed MIB on a mk7!! Is it the original unit?
if it's been updated - maybe check the following adaptation channels on the MIB module (Information Control Unit 1) @ address hex5F:
Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2 - menu_display_sia > activated
- menu_display_sia_over_threshold_high > activated

I tried mentioned adaptations both were set to No active, so I set them to Active, and now I'm getting No service data available message Not sure how to check if it's the original? I'm not the first owner of car so I can't be 100 % sure that it wasn't replaced. Also, there are 5 faults in MIB module, I have cleared faults but these returned instantly. Don't know if they have something to do with this service problem, and should I open new thread about them? Data record invalid - B200500 Data record invalid - B200500 Checking software version management - B201A00 Component protection - U110000 Component protection active - U110100

hmm......... Component Protection errors means that this MIB is NOT the original unit in this car.
The fact that your retrofitted MIB is working while the CP error is active means that the software has been hacked.
The fact that the 2 x "sia" channels in my last post were set to not-active and the "no service data available" message strongly suggests that for some reason the service menu has been deliberately disabled on this MIB. I'm not sure why - perhaps part of the hack
