Hello to everyone,
I have a golf8 etsi life with mirror pack and side assist.
But I know that I don’t have travel assist on my car but it’s possible to activated it. Anyone have the coding for this?

Do you have the TravelAssist Button on the steering wheel?
Do you have the a capacitive steering wheel (Hand off detection)?
If not, it does not make sense to code travel assist - you cannot activate or use it...

Well... Without the button you cannot activate it. It is like a TV without buttons or a remote, being constantly on Standby.
Please be so kind to check Byte 2 Bit 3 in the ACC - which is the cap steering. If it is not set - no capacitive steering wheel installed.
But never mind. With cap steering it is
*Activate Travel Assist in ACC
*Set HC Variant to 2 in Camera
*Check Adaption of Gateway: multifunction steering wheel: FoD_TravelAssist
(And of course you need a dataset in the camera allowing the view)

I will not post a walkthrough on how to use OBD11 here, sorry
Refer to general help or watch some tutorials please.
You are showing the assistance button on your steering wheel. It is hardcoded to open the assistance menu.
Cars equipped with travel assist having a different button on that position, showing a car with a street below.
The assist button then can be found on top of the indicator stalk.
You cannot reprogram the steering wheel buttons, you will need to change the ecu for this.
