Yes, it is possible. You need to have fog lamps, fog mounts to the bumper, external grilles, a harness from the central electronics controller to the fog lights, a light switch (here you have 2 options, either a switch with a fog icon or an icon for bad weather conditions, both work) and a device with which you will make the adaptation. The first thing you do is pull the harness from the central electronics from plug B from pin 5 (right fog) and pin 45 (left fog) to the bumper. You replace the switch from the lights with a new one. It remains to make adaptations. You make all adaptations in central electronics. First and foremost, you do the SFD unlock, and then you go to the adaptation and change the following values as shown in the screenshots below. In the first Lichtdrehschalter you change the last value from no to yes. And then in the Leuchte 12 NL L B45 and Leuchte 13NL R B5 you change the values so that they are as they are marked. The values B12, C12, B13 and C13 are to be as nicht aktiv, and the rest of the values as on the screens. After making the adaptation, you turn off the ignition, close the car for about 10 minutes. After this time, the fog lights will work as they should, i.e. information will be displayed on the meters and the button on the switch will be illuminated. I do not recommend using the 1 click app because they do not change the value of the light switch (I tested it)

hmm......... with absolutely no offense intended to mordecai - I'm not sure why the coding of the 2 x Leuchte-sets in the pictures are as posted. They will be illuminated as Daytime running lights
Also, the suggested values in the pictures assume that the fog-lights use LED lamps. @ddidu93000 - were your new fog-lights incandescent, or LED? Don

dididu93000 : OK - if your fog-lights are incandescent, then the coding will be wrong on your car!!
Make the following changes to mordecai suggestion:
Leuchte12NL LB45 and Leuchte13NL RB5
- Lasttyp > 10 - allgemeine Scheinwerfer
- Dimmwert ABC > 100
However, understand that as coded - these fog-lights will be illuminated as DRLs

dididu93000 : Thank you for the offer - but forums like this are about helping the community- so no payment is needed.
I'm not sure what you mean by "remove this from dashboard". With my suggested changes - there should be NO error message on the dashboard. If there is an error message - post-up a copy of the SCAN for this car. Don

I have tested all solution from apps list. I have tested the value from you and always fog light off. I have only put front fog light. Without change the light switch. I want to lets fog light ON when Rear fog light is active Or With drl light. As possible. Connection is done correctly. Even apps from obd11 not working for me.

hmm............. it's not at all clear to me what has happened to this car! Was this mk8 factory built with front fog lights - or were the front fog-lights retrofitted after purchase? If the latter, what actual equipment was retrofitted in addition to the fog-light fittings? Did you make any changes to the multi-function light switch? Here's a copy of part of the user manual for operating the front fog-lights on a Golf mk8: Notice the instruction " press button ". Does the light switch on this car have the button?

Factory without fog light, it's why I haven't dedicated button on light switch. I have only connected the 2 wire to BCM. Like the wiring diagram. I have tested all apps and nothing work. Fog light always off.

The switch above is for the bad weather light that is a special use case for the dynamic cornering light. Besides retrofitting the fog lights, this switch needs to be replaced for one that has the switch for fog lights. Then you need to code out bad weather light in channel "Lichtkonfig-Abhängich" and code "Rotary switch with fog light" in the channel "Drehlichtschalter"

Use this with positive cable and take - on the car. amzn.eu/d/7yDRybYPut One botton For on or off (interrupted positive or negative cable) inside the car. No, I don't think you can use both. As soon as you code out the Allwether light in "Lichtkonfig-abhängig" you will see "Fog light" banner on the cluster when you press the button (Instead of the Bad weather light banner you have currently). The button will then be used to turn on and off the front fog lights (considering you coded the -NL-(Nebellicht) channels correctly. You will not lose the dynamic cornering light by this coding, though.

Hi
I made this retrofit too without changing switch light, so It doesn’t work too! (GTI) My switch light is with bad weather too. I used one click app, my question is, is there a New way to use front fog light without changing the switch? Other do you have the ref of the good switch ? I found 5HG941193B but seems to be an old ref.
Thanks!

larson : Hi. Obviously if the multi-function light-switch on your mk8 does not have a button - of course you won't be able to use the factory fog-light function.
However, if you have wired the new fog-light lamps back to the factory pins on the central electrics module (meaning pins #B5 & pin #B45) , it should be possible to operate the fog-lights for one-or-more of the other lighting functions
For example: on the Leuchte-sets shown in mordecai screenshots above (2nd post in this thread) -if you wanted to operate the fog-lights as Parking lights (sometimes called "Position Lights"), the following coding changes are needed: Leuchte12NL LB45
- Lichtfunktion A 12 > Parking Lights
Leuchte13NL RB5- Lichtfunktion A 13 > Parking Lights
Plus, as coded on the screenshots shown, the fogs lights will work as: - Daylight running lights via the Leuchte-command on Lichtfunktion B, and
- Cornering lights via the Leuchte-command on Lichtfunktion C
Don
PS: Again if the multi-function light-switch does not have the fog-light button - do NOT set the channel Lichtdrehschalter-Light rotary switch with fog light to yes as shown in mordecai screenshot

Hi Thanks for your reply ! I made the retrofit like original wiring, on B5 and 45. I have yet the original switch light with bad weather, so no fogs. I have iq tailight, so if possible i’d like to code like this : Push bad weather left button, put fogs on and bad weather tailight on, do you think it’s possible ? Thanks !
