I installed dynamic tail lights in my 2013 golf wich also had led tailights originally, but i noticed in reverse light channels the lamp type is still 27W H15 , wich corresponds to halogen reverse lights in previous taillights. Everything works well no problem with any of the lightfunctions but should this be changed??   |

goni : If it ain't broken - don't fix it!! Seriously, the central electrics module is very sophisticated (see the main PCB below) - the answer to your question depends on you. From an engineering perspective, it's probably more efficient to tell the module that the lamp is LED - but clearly this isn't absolutely necessary in this case! If you leave the settings as incandescent - I suggest that you change Dimmwert AB =100. The current value is nonsensical because maximum value for analogue PWM in the module is NOT 120!! If you want to change to an LED configuration, choose an appropriate value for Lasttyp channel and set Dimmwert AB = 127 (which is maximum value for digital PWM in the module. Of course, you need to change the Leuchte-sets for both car-side lamps

Thank you for your reply dv52, everything is working fine but just worried that wrong lamp type and dimmwert would cause problems in the future. I would change it and apply 127dimmwert but I dont know wich lastypp to choose for the reverse , do you have any suggestion? Maybe comparing with a FL golf that had dynamic tailights from factory would be good choice

goni : Because this is an aftermarket fitting (i.e. non-OEM), it can vary. But you won't break anything by experimenting The FL Golf setting is 43-allgemeine LED, or you could try 37- allgemeine LED bis 12W if the LED is no higher than 12 watts.
