Hi everybody,
I just bought an OBD Eleven Device with a pro licence.
My first objective was to change the throttle response (as on mk7 from incremental to direct in order to get a more linear response) but this option is not available on Mk6 on the 44 steering module.
After hours of research online I couldn't find any other way but to get into the 01 Engine module to change the manufacturer from VW to Audi (knowing it could mess with other modules, but essentially ACC which I don't have on my car and Cruise Control which I don't use). I wanted to test it to see if there is a real difference and then manage with the possible errors.
For information : I own a Golf VI 1.4 TSI from 2010 (origin : germany). Stage One via superchips. If you need more info ask me !
The procedure is (VCDS) :
Module 01 - Engine
Long coding
Byte 0, Bit 0-2,
Change from Škoda (01) to AUDI (02) this will dramatically reduce lag on pressing accelerator pedal. ==> forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/7783/
On OBD eleven I've seen someone doing this on his Golf Mk7 R :
Byte 00 : Bit 0 & Bit 3 selected (HEX 09) >> Bit 1 selected (HEX 02)
Problem IS
I can't access the long coding in my 01 engine Module (I tried every security acces code, 2/3 worked but none generated the long coding opion). I only get the short coding wich is 0000072.
My question IS
> Do you know a way to access the long coding of 01 Engine ?
or
> Do I have to convert this short code into a long code, adapt the code I get and then convert it again in a short code to recode my module ? If so, I'd need some help.
If someone ever dealed with this type of issue // improved his throttle response, please help !
