I bought an obdeleven to be used on a 2022 VW Taos, it doesn't work well with it.

I read that SFD has to be unlocked, but the software (Android or iPad OS) doesn't even show the "Unlock SFD" feature under the control modules menu. I can only see the "Automatically unlock SFD" under settings. I have it enabled.

Scanning for faults works well, but whenever I open the control modules, if I select one of them it will throw also an error "Communication error with control unit". After some time it will list the control modules (by browsing back and then trying again the control modules option).

While in the control modules, if I go to "Adaptations" I will always get an error: "Attention Something went wrong. Try again". If I try again I just get the same message. Same thing for "Basic Settings"

I am using a nextgen obdeleven, I have a Pro license, the connection is done while the hood is open, ignition is on. I have tested it on two different android phones (Samsung S10 and Samsung S9+) and also using my 4 gen iPad Air. I have cleared the data on the app, reinstalled the app, logged in and out. Nothing seems to work.

I have seen in some Facebook pages that some Taos users are having the same experience.

Any ideas?

Is it normal for OBD11 to have only 2 apps for the Taos and almost no information on it? I mean, I see 0 love for the Taos from obdeleven, their support team won´t get back to me, there is no OBD11 info for the Taos. caristaapp offers a lot of options for the Taos. Before purchasing my OBD11 I was deciding between caristaapp and OBD11, at the end I bought OBD11 but now I have a brick in my desk. The thing will not even read parameters to my Taos and OBD11 support is just playing dumb with me...

Is it normal to have such a poor and sh**tty experience with OBD11 or is it just bad luck?
