How to reset oil service, activating the longlife service.
VW Passat b6 2.0 TDI 140 hp from 2007, BMP engine.

Hi, i'm wondering the same. I tried to follow the description in "Dashboard" channel 17, "Adaptation" enter the channel number "2". Then changed the value from "1" - Requires Service to "0". Also reset the channels 40-49 according to the description.
Now the service reminder is not showing when I turn on the ignition, but f i hold the "wrench" to see how many days to next service, it says "service now".
Anyone experiencing the same?
I think this has to do with the "inspection service" not resetting, and I cant find the right channel to reset it.

Well, this is kind of embarrassing. It appears to be a user error on my problem.
To check the service status, you press the Wrench after startup, and after all informational messages in the MFD have disappeared. The dsiplay will then show you how long to service is due.
If you press and hold the wrench key before turning on the ignition, the MFD will always say "service now"
