gianry : hmm......... certainly not on a MQB platform car - like a mk7 Golf!!
ALL (emphasis "all") cars in this section of the forum are equipped with modules that use UDS/ODX protocols. These modules don't have adaptation channels numbers -instead, the adaptation channels have descriptive names. So no "Adaptation channel 116636" on these cars I suspect your tweak belongs to the older version Golf -maybe? Don |

Or he’s using vcds? They have the channel number before the adaption name dont they?

vwjap : Excellent deduction!!! Yes, VCDS does report adaptation channel names with preceding numbers that Ross-Tech calls "Tag numbers" You are 100% correct - there is a "116636" listed in the mk7 channel database as a "child" tag number. The full channel description in VCDS is: - ENG141648-ENG116636-Aussenlicht_Heck-Notbremsanzeige NBA
It would have been a very difficult job for someone to find the correct instruction from just the tag number - without your insight
Now that we (you, really) have solved that mystery - let's tackle world-poverty!!
