I have a problem with the headlamp washer system on my 2016 UK spec GTi fitted with Xenon headllights and headlamp wash.
Using the Obdeleven app function, I have previously turned off / deactivated the headlamp wash function. I tend to reactivate the headlamp wash function when the car has an Mot test or visits the servicing dealer.
A few months ago I reactivated the headlamp was using the app, I saw the "aliens" in action and the car passed the test.
The next day I deactivated the headlamp washers, using the app, a few days ago I needed to reactivate them for a visit to the dealer, despite apparent "success" from the app, my washers do not function at all. I point out they were previously inactive for the prior 3 months.
The screen shot was taken after the headlamp washers were reactivated using the app, as I understand with the Scheinwerferreinigunsanlage indicating "installed" the headlamp washers are ready to work?
I have the headlight washer activator count set to 5 and the headlight washer activation set to 0ms.
The windscreen washers work powerfully to the front & rear screens and the washer bottle level is full, despite this, even if I try the screen wash 10 times in succession, the headlamp washers do not operate at all
Just to add, there has been no interference with the car, such as a removal of the front bumper/ Pu which may have trapped a hose.
All I have done is reinstate the headlamp wash function using the Obdeleven app.
Once I reactivated the washers on the app and found they did not work, I did disable and then reinstated them successfully, again using the app, this made no difference.
Is there any thing else to check using Obd eleven?....no error codes have shown..
