I'm trying to prevent the MMI from popping up with vehicle startup. I only want it to come up when put into reverse or when the display button is pressed. I've browsed through a lot of things in the multimedia section but I'm pretty new to this. If anyone can point me in a direction I would appreciate it. Also is there any good tutorials for the long coding? Is there a way to log what bytes are being activated with startup etc?
Thanks.

kidwithstick: Turning the MMI off/on manually is described in the owner's manual - it's just a matter of pressing the ON/OFF switch on the center console (it's the same knurled button that is turned for volume control). If you turn-off the MMI manually, it won't turn-on with "vehicle start-up" on a subsequent ignition cycle. Don

Yeah I'm aware of that, and it almost works fine except with the MMI powered off you can't use anything. I just want to prevent the motor from being activated with startup, and only send a signal when the vehicle is put in reverse or when the button for the screen is pressed.
