Hello,

I have a strange problem with my RS3 8V 2016, oil min warning light keeps showing and my oil in dipstick is at max, it goes when i open/close the bonnet but returns after 100km, the cluster shows the bonnet when open so the bonnet switch is fine, i did an oil change and I also replaced the oil sensor but problem persists.

I checked oil fill level and oil level threshold in engine control unit with obdeleven and I think I have a problem.

Oil fill level : 73.248mm
Oil warning threshold : 73.916mm
Oil warning threshold is too high and superior to oil fill level? Do you know please how can I reduce oil warning threshold or reset these values?

If I disconnect the battery, will these values reset?

I had the exact same issue with my 2016 rs3,I took mine to the dealership for its service and they couldn't replicate the problem,would usually happen to me after an hour or so of driving,which would be about 100k.I wasn't doing long journeys at the time so it didn't happen for a while,anyway it happened again but more frequently so took it back to audi,after much headscratching they concluded it was a faulty pcv valve which they replaced,it's a different system to what the daza motor has which are easy to source, for our motors I think they call it a rocker cover repair kit or something similar, anyway this solved the problem and had no issues for probably 12 months and then it started again but noticed the black cap on the rocker cover was not seated correctly so audi replaced it again under goodwill,I have since sold the car with no issues,hope this helps.
