Has anyone ran a code scan using the app on the 2022 R and had multiple fault codes come back? I ran one on my factory R and 34 fault codes came back and a lot of them make no sense and there is no lights on the dash indicating an issue and it drives just fine. Could it be the software on the tool because the app is updated. I tried it on my iPhone and galaxy note 20 and same result.

Ive scanned 3 x GTD’s now and all came back with 20+ codes.
Ive had an engine check light on since new (now at 5300 miles). Multiple random codes come up that wont clear. Egr was the first one at 250miles into ownership. Current code this week is the brake booster fault.
Let alone the system bugs, its a nightmare. Audio crashes Mph switches to kph on the small road signs, or random sugns appear for no reason.

Typically normal. This does not lie into OBD11, you wil see identical events with all other tools.
VWs offical naming of what we call fault memory is event memory, which is a better name for it.
Control units will now log everything which has gone wrong, but not every event leads to an error.
This is useful for tracing actuals faults, but if you are experiencing no faults, there is nothing to do.
