I found this procedure in Engine> Basic settings > Adapting injector minimum deviation quantity (it's at the bottom of the list).
But, it didn't work for me. The engine was hot and already running when I started it but it although I ran it for 30 minutes it didn't appear to do anything. I was expecting it to cycle the revs up and down whilst it was making adjustment but it just stayed at tick over. The procedure was running because when I blipped the throttle (I got bored waiting for something to happen) the revs wouldn't go above 1000rpm.
I tried pressing the clutch and brake together which is the method to start it in VCDS.
Am I doing something wrong?
The car is an SEAT Altea XL 1.6TDI (CAYC)

I tried to do this with my 2011 VW Golf. I followed this YouTube video and when I started the procedure it doesn't say anything so I tried pressing in the clutch and brake, then pressing down the accelerator.
The heater lamp turned on in the cluster and the revs dropped but it did not rev itself. Maybe it does work if done correctly?
My car ran very rough afterwards so I'm hoping the ECU adjusts the values after driving it for a bit, if not I'll be taking it in to get it properly sorted.
