Hi, new here. My 2010 Fabia 1.4 TDI has shown various electrical problems currently showing Engine, Power steering and ABS lights. Plus the wipers turn on as soon as the ignition is on, stopping after about a minute with them not responding to the stalk. And also the seatbelt warning boings straightaway. So I'm sourcing a CAN fault?
OBDeleven seems to connect to most modules but I noticed that under Info, it says Connection Type: K-line. Surely this should be CAN?
Had finally brought her to the Skoda dealer but they said they couldn't connect At All! Does that make sense, would their diagnostic use CAN only?
Trying to figure out if this is a global problem causing many symptoms or smaller problems (steering angle sensor, abs sensor) causing a bigger upset. Any idea where to start? Thanks

I don't know about the dealers but would presume if they use Skoda equipment it should support both K Line and CAN if they have the factory equipment.
With regards to your motor the Info Screen shows you the protocol that it uses so on a car of your age you can have both KWP2000 and CAN Protocol, this is normal.
I personally don't have a 2010 Fabia in my garage but I do have a few golfs of 2010 to show that your setup is not unusual
One of them (1.4 petrol) shows both Engine and ABS are both KWP2000 The other (2.0 Diesel) shows engine as CAN:UDS but the ABS as KWP2000
Back to your specific issues has the car always had these issues or have they just started. If they have just started have you run a scan and is the battery in good shape and did you make any physical or coding changes that may have caused this.
On my 2014 car I have the dashboard light up like a xmas tree and it was all down to a ABS Speed sensor being dead but if you check out all the scan codes they hopefully will help you identify what the issue is.

Thanks for the reply. These problems really started showing in October after the first real rain. I've changed battery, negative terminal, battery fuses, cleaned all grounds, bypassed dmf wire. 12.4 V stationary, 14.3 V running. It's good to hear your experience with the abs sensor. That was my confusion, can I trust the readings and focus on abs and steering sensors, can they really throw up all these other issues? Thanks
