I no longer have an MK7, but there’s hardly anyone ever in the Atlas forum. Anyways, have a 2021.5 Atlas Cross sport and now, for some reason, I can’t get into module 8. It doesn’t accept 20103, which is what the passcode was. I can get into others, just not 8. The only change I ever made was the temp for the remote start. Nothing crazy. Anyone kate any ideas why?

Yes. It’s open. Like I said, I can make changes in 9, 5F and A5. Nothing in 8.

hmm...............so UDS/ODX modules (I assume this is the protocol used in your Atlas) are very unforgiving when it comes to entering security codes; they lock-out for a period of time after the 2nd/3rd incorrect attempt. You can check if the module has locked-out like this:
My screenshot above is for the hex09 module- but every module has the same facility. If the number in the last picture is higher than 2/3, the module has locked-out. The lock-out period varies (10-20 mins) and the timer count-down must see a terminal 15 voltage (meaning that the timer needs the ignition to be turned-ON). If lock-out happens, the number in the last picture must reset to zero before the module will allow access again
If 20103 is the incorrect security code and you have made multiple attempts to enter the value - this will almost certainly be the problem- I think!

Still locked out. There’s an option to reset all adaptations. What exactly does that do? Reset to stock? I may give that a try

This will not reset any Security access codes.
Are you sure you actually need any sa code? I know most tutorials for VCDS are strict to first login, then do stuff, but sa is rarely needed.
You can directly enter the adaptions, do changes and just apply them. In case you need a security code, you will be asked.
The reset will either trigger: To unlearn all values learned in the vehicle by time like stop points of flaps and so on. Alternatively, you go back to the state how VW buys them, so this not reset to factory and start over but reset to zero, good luck bringing it back to how you bought the car. So hands off any resets, it will likely make it worse
