Hi The hands-on-steering-wheel detection when using TA is driving me crazy. My steering wheel has been replaced twice already, but when using Travel Assist it keeps bugging me every now and then while my hand is/hands are on the wheel.
Don’t know if it can be disabled or maybe fool it that it always detect hands even when they aren’t on the wheel, or make the sensor extremely sensible. Don’t know the proper solution to this.

What you are asking for is illegal and dangerous. You may become overconfident and become too distracted and cause an accident. Buy the steering wheel that has the capacitive sensor that detects that it rubs against the steering wheel and you will not get the warning.

I’m a bit surprised by your reaction: A- I nowhere suggest that I will be driving without hands on wheel B- everywhere cars are driven by young men who are by nature overconfident and risk unaware. C- VIM is enabled by obdeleven also. Talking of potentially getting distracted D- doubt wether my request is illegal/more illegal than VIM
I don’t understand what you mean by the sentence: buy a steering wheee that… etc etc. My car has a steering wheel, Skoda wasn’t able to make it proper responding to hands on it 🤷♂️

I’ve the same question. My steering wheel has also been replaced by Skoda because of this without succes. I don’t even need to completely disable it, if the time of the warning can be extended I’m already happy.
