Hi! Has someone of u guys test the ambient app for passat b8? I just wondering whats the diff of the v1 v2 v3 v4?

I have now tried all versions v1-v4 and none of them worked out for me. I noticed that I lost also the original blue, yellow and white after v1, it was no lights at all. Decided to try version by version to get the lights back but nothing. Then I went back to original but still nothing. Then I turned it Off and suddenly I got a red color but only in the dors not in the dashboard. Went back to original again and now I got red both in all dors and dashboard.
But the menu still shows Blue, yellow and white. So still the original three but I can’t change from red to any of them.
Even if red is cool I prefer blue but now I have lost like 70 credits and it’s not possible to go back to original settings.
Anyone else that have tried it out or have any suggestions how to get back to the original settings. Or maybe get the 10 colors which was the original plan 😊

I finally managed to get back the original settings. Did a hard reset of the MIB and the original colors came back.
This app seems a bit risky or maybe I and my car just had a bad day.

Had the same problem, the V1 to V4 aee the same, i'm now on color Red or bright green

I took the risk and tried v1 one more time. There are some new App instructions “in-car procedure”. I think the reset part does the trick and then a restart of the MIB, then it worked and I have now 10 colors. Good luck!

Hi, on the weekend i've tryed the Ambient light app. V1 hast 10 diffrent colours. V2 - V4 you 'll have almost only one collour with 10 diffrent mixtures e.g. from light red to dark red. Problem: After going back to v1 or to original, white did not work anymore. When I select white or gray the ambient light in the doors alwas become something like pink.  Any solution on this? Other Colour like green, blue, red or yellow apear correctly. Best regards |

It would be very nice if someone would insert pictures of the colors from V1 to V4 so that people are aware of what they get when choosing a version, to me this looks like just extracting credit from the user.

It’s strange that nobody guides people in this forum… too strange I have all 30 colors but I am only using the blue 😂 But here’s a guide to get up-to 30 colors. Go to “control units” -> find “central electronics” -> adaptation -> find “ambientelight, colorlist” -> in this menu you can code up-to 10 colors. If you want up-to 20 more colors then -> Go to “control units” -> find “central electronics” -> adaptation -> find “Ambience lighting color list 2” in this menu you can code up-to 20 colors more.   |
