Hi all. I am in the process of changing my mib2 dicover media radio for a mib2.5 discover pro one. The main unit still has component protection enabled but i connected it just to check the menu's. To my big surprise the dynaudio and parking heater menu were not visible in the settings although they are installed in the car and were working perfectly fine with the previous radio headunit. Is this a question of getting the obd11 out or do i need odis/vcds for that? Thanks for the help!

joost: Hi. Was the new MIB "hacked", or was it an OEM purchase from VW (or taken directly from a another car)?

The unit was taken from another car but i built it in just to test the current functionality without taking CP off. Brought it to a specialist who removed CP among other things yesterdag evening so today i will hopefully have some time to repeat the process and see what im missing in the menu's and need to change still.

Update: CP has been removed but the unit didnt give any sound output when installed. Changed bit 11 in module 5 F from "sound internal" to "sound ext MOST" and reset the radio after that and my sound and dynaudion menu are back . But now im still missing the parking heater in the aircare menu and i noticed radio station logo's are not automatically loaded and the USB port in my dashboard doesnt seen to be recognised anymore. Does anybody have any clue how to fix this?

Update: All is solved. For reference to others that may encounter the same issues in the future this is what i changed: As expected all the answers were in module 5F(multimedia). -The radio station logo's came back automatically. I just had to be a bit more patient. -The USB port was usable for data again after going to "Adaptation" and then "Interface for external media, activation". Had to change "Connection 2" from "Not activated" to "Activated"and that did the works. -For the parking heater menu in the aircare menu i found the solution on a German forum: Go to "Adaptation" and then "Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2", Change "auxilary_heating_0x03" to "Activated", "auxilary_heating_0x03_msg_bus" to "Comfort data bus" and "menu_display_auxilary_heating" to "Activated". Everything works again like it used to .
