Hi!
I have the Discover Media installed in my car.
I’m searching for a correct configuration to view the map in the cluster without the need to use the switch.

I used the app as originally I was unable to display map in the dash display only on the MMI screen. After using the App I was able to show the map on either screen but not have the map on both screens at the same time. After some searching on here I found that someone had kindly posted the 3 different nav map settings that they knew of see below :- No maps on dashboard:
Infotainment 5F - adaptation ->
Dashboard_Display_Configuration-ability_switch_nav_maps, no
Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_compression_mode, RLE
Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_resolution, 0
Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_transmission_mode, OFF
Maps with setting on infotainment display:
Infotainment 5F - adaptation ->
Dashboard_Display_Configuration-ability_switch_nav_maps, yes
Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_compression_mode, H264
Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_resolution, 1
Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_transmission_mode, IP_streaming
Mine with maps on both display:

Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_transmission_mode, IP_streamingThis showed me that I now had the middle setting which allowed nav maps to be showed on either but not both simultaniously (abilty to switch nav maps yes). I then changed this to the bottom setting (ability to switch nav maps no) and wrote it. On restarting the car the following morning I had maps in both screens. Attachments:

I haven't experienced that happening but to be fair the software's not the best and seems to vary from car to car on how it functions.
I don't tend to have it on both as I prefer the GTI or the R instrument displays for normal use.

when both maps are displayed, they are smaller on the infotainment and after restarting the radio, the maps on the virtual cockpit do not work

^You can choose scale of map by pressing up or down buttons on the right side of steering wheel.

the resolution on the radio is different, the bottom bar is not there and after restarting the radio it still doesn't work

However, I have the same problem, when the navigation is on both screens, the one on the dashboard is slow and jerky. When the settings are returned so that the navigation is not on both screens at the same time, everything works properly and smoothly. Is there a solution to make the navigation work smoothly on both screens? |

I think that the CPU power is not enough for that, or it is some kind of bug.
