Is there a setting I've missed to stop this disclaimer screen popping up every time I start the car for 10 seconds or so?
Is it something that can be coded out with OBD11??
Had it in my old Lexus, drove me mad.

In Module 8125 / Application Server 3 Choose: Adaption Search for: Privacy Mode And activate Suppress privacy mode
This will do the trick, alternatively you can shorten the screen popup from 10 second to anything you like in the same menu.

Car is still online.
Remove Welcome/Privacy Screen:
Control unit: 8125 Application server 3 system 1 infotainment
Adaptation:
privacy_mode, timeout, from 5 s to not_active
Remove exit screen:
Control unit: 8125 Application server 3 system 1 infotainment
Adaptation:
exit_screen_configuration, exit_screen, from activated to not_activated

Damn, SFD unlock is required, and I'm a little it worried about it reguarding possible warranty issues when VW knows about my modification. Anyone is in my situation? Cheers!

I'm pretty sure warranty is only affected if they can demonstrate that something you've done is the cause of the problem needing warranty support? They can't deny a warranty claim on a faulty window winder just because you took the door card off and upgraded the speakers for example.

I confirm in theory they can't say anything, because it's the functions of the car that are just not or badly programmed for the user, OBDeleven just opens the door to the settings. Volkswagen is well aware For my personal case, I have already coded the car and gone to the garage twice (like you, I was afraid that I would be criticized for having coded the car by myself), the last time in addition for a reparameterization of the rain sensor, they searched for a long time to find a solution with two appointments to finally succeed with VW technical assistance to do the right thing after changing the rain sensor. Finally they didn't see or blame anything in the car about it. Of course if you code your car and you lose all as a result of an error on your part, you may be charged for the reparameterization of the car.

The Adaption and also the options are still available for editing - but nothing changes, the nag screen is still there. Also the pre configured app for changing this point does not work for me. Can you please check? Thanks. (*) ID3 and ID4 has the same Software platform, so I decided not to open a new thread in ID4 subforum.

Hi if it's the same platform and you are sure of your settings it should work. To be sincere with you, I also believed that it didn't work for me too, but in fact after doing the coding and having to get out of the car locked this one, and this time when I got into the car there was no more this screen at startup!

I also have a lot of questions about the upcoming 2.4 update first and 3.0 next.
I asked the question to the support, they are not aware of this update for the moment, they therefore advise, to make a backup which will be useless, if the parameters are reset by factory on the car and programs change
for the moment on my car the code works perfectly since it is done in the settings called Adaptation and not a one-click application which generally disappears after a technical intervention at the garage, for example an overhaul. That's the problem with one-click apps unfortunately. I had the blow when changing the sos module or replacing a sensor in my car and I had to redo the one-click applications that I had done before. So for me the 2.4 update is imminent, I will let you know if I have this screen again at startup and especially if I manage to remove it as before with the procedure described above. For ID.4 users, it may not be the same procedure for you, unfortunately.

I think you need to change this:
Control unit: 8125 Application server 3 system 1 infotainment Adaptation privacy_mode Supress_privacy_mode
change this to active
like it was mentioned in the 2nd post.
close the car, wait a bit until it's in sleep mode or whater´ver the mode is called and then try again.
let me know if it worked.

With Software 3.0 we have a changed start screen, is there a solution for this? Because now we have users to select instead offline and online mode and the window popup timer solution is gone.

VW has said that the popup should go away by itself and thus adhere to the previous timers, what people are currently having is a bug where it ignores the timer and you have to press OK.

block 8125 - adaptation - function configuration pso - IAA function (now) - OFF I have tested this on an ID5 with SW 3.2. . The start screen disappears, but also the user tile and the Wecharge APP no longer work. So the tip isnt the best solution, I have undone it.

Hi everyone. At the moment 3.2 for the Id family is available at the garage.
Have you tried to make this screen disappear without clicking on Ok?

Hello, anyone heard of any solution to this? It looks like the above makes the app not work? And factory reset then just checking 'don't remind me' and not setting up a user also means the app wont work (until you set up a user). Is there some list of users I can add my name to, so vw fix the bug?
