Hi,
Only cold air blowing from the passenger side vents, both center and side vent. Drivers side works.
Reset (AC+middle vent buttons) makes no difference. Visually inspected the flap servo behind glovebox and the cogs line up ok.
Thermal Management control module live data confirms that all temp sensors (L+R vent, inside and outside) give reasonable values - although not verified with IR. Live data L+R flap positions change when temps are changed with dials.
Under A/C control module, live data shows reasonable values for A/C "Temp sensor 1" through 4. A/C "Temp sensor 5" is static at -40.0 C (!). Likely the culprit.
Does anyone know where A/C temp sensor is 5 located?
TIA, T

You tried recalibrating it first, think it’s hold the ax button and the middle vents button until it starts flashing
Seen a couple of people with one side working but other not and recal sorted it
Found this
How to calibrate #Climatronic system in Volkswagen Golf MK7 (5G) to fix issues with clicking noise under the dashboard, incorrect air temperature or distribution. This service procedure will force air flaps to relearn movement end positions so your #GolfMK7 Climatronic will work flawlessly. Press and hold buttons A/C and front vent for few seconds, release when LEDs start to flash, wait about 20 seconds for the procedure to finish. When the flaps adaptation is performed you will hear movement under the dashboard which is absolutely normal.

thomanie : hmm....... depends on car model/build year and on the type of heating equipment installed - but your system might not have a 5th Temperature sender.
These type of temperature transducers are called "thermistors" - which means that they are temperature sensitive resistors. Thermistor responses can vary - but because they are less expensive to make, the majority have what's known as a "negative temperature coefficient". This means that their resistance increases as the temperature decreases.
So, when I see readings as low as -40 C, it suggests to me one of two possibilities: - The thermistor is installed and it has failed in an open-circuit state
- The thermistor is not installed

Thanks for pitching in - greatly appreciated! vwjap: The recalibration/reset using middle vent + A/C button, with the flashing lights, did not make a difference, no. dv52 (Australia): 2015 eGolf - but the climatronic sensors should be the same as other mk7s (so posted here over eGolf subforum to improve my chances). Maybe that is not the case after all? My thoughts exactly on why it's showing -40C. Either not present, or bust - which is why I tried asking for its location T

@thormanie: I don't know about a MY15 eGolf - but I can only find 4 x temp senders for a Climatronic system from a normal Golf - see picture below). I've also confirmed with the wiring diagram for a normal MY 15 Golf that there are 4 x Temp senders connected to EX21 (the Climatronic control module) Given that you have confirmed that 4 x senders are reading OK as per your original post - my bet is that you might be chasing a red herring with this line of investigation (i.e. Temp sender 5 = not installed on your car). But as I have said, I don't have any data about your specific eGolf Don

Dug a little deeper: VW Selfstudy guide 530 for the eGolf says the Climatronic in the eGolf is identical to the 2013 Golf. VW Selfstudy guide 513 for the 2013 Golf does indeed name only temp 4 sensors in the schematic. So this -40C from sensor 5 is indeed a red herring. Thanks for catching that dv52 (Australia)Thinking cap on...
