I have my winter tires/rims on my car. They do not have wheel sensors. How do I disable the TPMS light for the winter? I have the vagcom instructions which say go into 19 gateway module click coding go to bite 65 tire pressure monitoring, uncheck box, close window click do it...

There is an even BETTER trick that the OBDeleven team did where you can just look at the list of all the modules you have installed (just by connecting to your car using OBDeleven).
When you see the main list, there is a pencil icon in the upper-right-hand corner of the screen. Click it, and it gives you chatterboxes for each item you want to enable/disable.
Scroll down to 65-TPMS and disable it (then save changes). This then update #19 Gateway with the coding to ignore TPMS. You may have to cycle the ignition after doing it.

Hold on: NO. You don't go in #19 gateway itself.
You would just look at the "main" list of all installed modules and select the "pencil" icon in the upper right-hand corner. You will then see what I'm talking about in my previous response.

On a slightly different subject, there is this option on my 2008 MK5 Golf GTI as well.

TPMS Reset from 5.5 bar to 2.6 bar or turn off TPMS using OBDEleven Today 05:35 AM #1054 Hi everyone, I have searched and was only able to find VAG COM instructions. I am thinking of purchasing one of these but wanted to make sure it could do the "long coding" I need to update this common problem with the TPMS in my 2010 GTI I am attaching the symptom and the fix using VAG COM but does anyone have instructions/steps on how to perform this using the OBDEleven? Thank you for all your assistance. Great group of helpful folks here... www.myturbodiesel.com/wiki/fl...ecment-mk6-vw/ Charles

Haha there is a button inside top left of glove box that must be pushed .. finally light is off! Since the Mk6's don't have active sensors inside the wheels you have to calibrate the TPMS by yourself. Fill up your tires to spec and press the button for 3 seconds. Pre 2010 cars have the button in front of the shifter, since 2010 it's in the glove box next to the airbag deactivation lock. The system works with the anti lock sensors on each wheel and registers air loss simply by registering a change in the wheel diameter.

How do you find list of modules with the pen symbol. I went to Control Module 17 Dashboard then down to long coding then down to Tire Preeure Monitoring Display which can be turned on or off.
I didn’t try this as I managed to store the tire pressures were good once the tires cooled down and I had driven a bit.
I’m now using the new OBDeleven Blue tooth Donggle the works with iPhone and on Ver 1.2.1 of the IOS software.

Does the 2010 GTI have a button to recalibrate the tire pressure? You say it's in front of the shifter. Is it marked in any way? I don't think my 2010 gti has any button. Thanks, Jason

Does the 2010 GTI have a button to recalibrate the tire pressure? You say it's in front of the shifter. Is it marked in any way? I don't think my 2010 gti has any button No. The button in front of the shifter is for MK5 models. MK6 models would have it in the passenger glove box. Some MK6 models don't have the button in the glove box, so it would have to be reset via a VAG OBD tool like OBDeleven. The idea is that you should "never" need to reset anything if you keep your tire inflated. If you have a punctured tire, you get the notification on the dashboard. Once the deflated tire is repaired, and you drive the car, the error is cleared automatically. The only time you should get a permanent fault is if you mismatch tire sizes (from stock) or an aftermarket rim without the TPMS valve stem. For ABS-based TPMS, you would "reset" using an adaptation channel. I just have to go remind myself what channel this was.

OBDeleven short cut works like a charm. Which leads me to how do you clear the low tire pressure warning message in the INFO center? 07 Passat R wolfie

I have a 2010 A3. The OBD eleven seems to not turn the TPMS off...
I tried the shortcut zero change.

You should be able to code it out of your instrument cluster so that you don't get the alert. Also, you should be able to remove it from your gateway via coding in terma of the "installation list".

having trouble coding out the TPMS On my 2010 A3 (has direct system in the tires). When I uncheck the TPMS system, still shows as an error on the dash. Is there a way to change the coding value itself under 65 to bypass? Looking for other things to try....
